WHAT GUIDANCE DOES THE QURAN GIVE WITH REGARDS TO MARRIAGEABLE AGE? 004:006 “Test (trial) the orphans (Arabic: wa-ibtalu l-yatama) until they reach the age of marriage (Arabic: balaghu l-nikaha); if you then find sound judgment in them, release their property to them; but consume it not wastefully, nor in haste against their growing up. If the guardian is well-off, let him claim no remuneration, but if he is poor, let him have for himself what is just and reasonable. When you release their property to them, take witnesses in their presence (Arabic: Fa-ashiddu alayhim) : But all-sufficient is God in taking account.” There is no mention of children in these verses, To the contrary, in order to reach marriageable age, it is clear that one must be of sound judgment, maturity and certainly old enough that their wealth and property can be fully entrusted to them. The mention of witnesses in their presence clearly implies a discharge of responsibility and contractual in nature. There is no indication that any of these can be accomplished with a child. Whilst verse 4:6 clearly twins 'marriageable age' with the ability to entrust orphans with their wealth / property, another verse 6:152, clearly instructs believers not to come close to the orphan's wealth until they are 'ashudd', implying physical maturity, full strength or to be in a state where one is fully grown. Thus keeping both verses 4:6 and 6:152 in view, attaining full physical strength also becomes a precursor to discerning marriageable age. 006:152 "And do not go near to the wealth / property of the orphans except with that which is best until he reaches his maturity / his full strength (Arabic: Ashuddahu)..." The Arabic term 'Ashudd' indicates mainstream physical maturity or full strength. For example, in verse 12:19 one notes that Prophet Joseph (pbuh) was taken as a mere boy (ghulamun) and later in verses 12:22-23 we are informed was old enough to be seduced after reaching 'ashudd' (physical maturity / full strength). Other verses such as 18:82 also separate the term ‘ghulamayni’ (two boys) with 'ashudd' (physical maturity) indicating older age. Verses of the Quran such as verse 46:15 also indicate 'ashudd' to imply full physical maturity and strength. Such a rendition of the term 'ashudd' to imply physical maturity and strength is also resonated in classical sources. Check Edward lexicon. Therefore, both physical maturity and mental maturity are imperative in discerning marriageable age. FURTHER EVIDENCE A SOLEMN COVENANT (MEETHAQAN GALEZAAN) It is clear from the following verse of the Quran, that a ‘Solemn covenant’ is a pre-requisite for marriage and has to be entered into by both parties. 004:021 “And how could ye take it when you have gone in to each other, and they have taken from you a solemn covenant (Arabic: Meethaqan Galezaan)?" THE SOLEMN COVENANT GOD TOOK WITH THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL WITH REGARDS THE SABBATH 004:154 “And for their covenant we raised over them the mount; and (on another occasion) we said: "Enter the gate with humility"; and (once again) we commanded them: "Transgress not in the matter of the Sabbath." And we took from them a solemn covenant (Arabic: Meethaqan Galezaan)” THE SOLEMN COVENANT GOD TOOK WITH ALL HIS PROPHETS 033:007 “And remember We took from the prophets their covenant: As (We did) from thee: from Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus the son of Mary: We took from them a solemn covenant (Arabic: Meethaqan Galezaan)”

Thanks Mufti sahib for your videos, they are both enlightening and helps Muslims to understand things deeper, only recently the Arabic word iqraʾ I realised that means both "read" and "recite". It is believed to be the first word revealed to the beloved Prophet Muhammad in the Quran. The word carries a message of seeking knowledge and education. Sadly where Pakistani version of Islam is concerned I consider it more and more away from the Last Prophet PBUH message - it is full of anger, hatred, politics and ignorance. May Allah guide us and protect us from the fitnah of extremism and mullahism

I just feel sorry for tariq masood because he’s apologised and clarified his position and still he’s getting threats and there’s people trying to justify that mistakes (gustakhi) cannot be forgiven or accepted. Mufti as a Muslim I have to disagree strongly and I cannot believe you just said there is no variations or versions of the Qur'an. We all know that Ubayy ibn Ka'b said there was 116 chapters of the Qur'an or Abdullah ibn Masud said his Qur'an was 112 chapters, you've even said that ibn Masud's Qur'an reading was different at some points and differed slightly in words. What about the Hafs and Warsh version? C'mon what has happened to you? You've talked about this in the past and now you don't even mention this anymore?

@Re-Destro watch Mansuurs or Adnan Rashid explanation. The number of "chapters" it's a bit fallacious. And the "slightly " differences on the wordings are just in the qiraat and ahruf. Watch Fadel Soliman on the 10 qiraat Wa salamu aleykum wa ra7matullah wa barakuh
@Re-Destro14 күн бұрын
@@theprince8079 Sorry but those two individuals are the last ones I'd listen to, they lie their way through their teeth, and are not educated in Islam at all. The only one who did an "ok" job was probably Dr. Shehzad Saleem. The Qur'an is not preserved word by word, it's more dynamic and changes in meaning sometimes, and that's the truth.

Correction in your explaination of the Hadith as evidence for blasphemy needing a intention. In this Hadith there was a slip of the tongue , meaning the words he said is not what he intended to say, this is why it’s not blasphemy. However if someone says blasphemy but doesn’t intend to blaspheme this does not save them and they have indeed blasphemed. For example if someone said blasphemy out of anger , even if they didn’t mean to blaspheme but what they intended to say is exactly what came out of the their mouth. Then the judgment is blasphemy. This is why one learns what is blasphemous to say, do or believe, because them merely not knowing something is blasphemy and doing it or believing in it doesn’t save them from the judgment of blasphemy.

As far as the killing of salman taseer is concerned ... his children represent the Qadiyanis in White House. You can KZbin this and watch the video when his son was translating a Qadiyanis plea to Trump !! And you are sure that Salman Taseer was a true lover of the Final Prophet sallalaahu alaihi wa sallam? Please dont comment for cheap likes MALM. First, learn more about the situation before you declare it an unjustly action. For the disclaimer, yes, it is absolutely forbidden in the Deen to do any mob lynching as in this case. But that doesn't mean salman taseer did not blaspheme. It's 2 different things. Mumtaz qadri taking law in his hands, and salman taseer blasphemy. Salman Rushdie was a blasphemer, but any mob justice would be clearly wrong. But that doesn't mean that he is not a blasphemer
@imranahmed7862 ай бұрын
I understand your perspective MALM. But why is it that deobandiya and Salafis suddenly expect all the rahmah and husn Dhann when it comes to their mistakes, yet these very scholars can declare people mushrikeen and quburiyya? When they get a taste of their medicine, then people like you come out apologetically behaving as if you're the victims. For over 150 years these groups have declared fellow Muslims as kuffaar, and caused the martyrdom of 1000s of Muslims. Showing rahmah to such ahlul bidah is your need, your urge, not of sincere Muslims who are trying to stand up for their deen. Perhaps you should 1st condemn this extremism these groups have shown since their creation.
