Live viewership actually estimated at around 900,000. The 300 mil probably a projection based on the championship game, not this event. Did see today 48 hr views of some 30 million on all media with 2 mil likes.

But it was also streamed on the Fifa website, and as that was the main advertised livestream, I would assume that there were a lot more viewers there. Also it was broadcasted in many countries in addition on TV or sport streaming channels.

Speaking of numbers and understanding what soccer means in the world, the Super Bowl, the most watched sporting event in the US had 100 million spectators, the final of the soccer championships in Dubai had 1.5 billion. Since advertising is paid based on the number of viewers, I guess they have their own systems to count them. So it is plausible that the award ceremony for the best footballers in the world had 300 million spectators and Angelina sang just before the award ceremony. I think you're confusing KZbin or TiKTok views with TV views.

FIFA ordered this song from Redone (Nadir Khayat, multi Grammy winner) especially for this event. It was delivered, done (A football songno more and no less, the football fans decide whether it becomes an anthem ) . Every professional musician has to sing something that is not there style , but Angelina has mastered this task with flying colours. Exceptional was how professional Angelina mastered the disaster of the technique. First, the volume on their mic was set way too low and than the catastrophic bugs with the background music. @@robertsilva631 Yeah I think it was not a glitch. I think a minor sound issue of volume on her mic and the backing track, her a bit low, the backing track a bit high. I think the layering was on purpose. A weird Idea, but maybe a way of trying something new. A way of suggestion the anthem like theme of lots of people together, singing we are the best. A bit unfortunate her higher key runs in the one longer run part sounded awesome but were a bit buried as well.

So, it is a made for 2023 football song (aka soccer in USA). RedOne has won two Grammys and been nominated for 8, apparently. So whatever the sound issues were that night, he's no slouch. Many of us feel that this is part of the rollout plan for the album. Thanks for caring enough to take a look at this. Definitely not a great opportunity to hear what she can do especially for people who never heard her before this performance. BUT, the exposure she received by appearing at the Awards Show will benefit her greatly. For those of us who love her very much, we dismissed the 'background music' and instead felt so very PROUD of her. She did enough to attract those people watching the show to listen to more of her and, when they do, do we expect them to act any differently than we did when we discovered her? I honestly think it was enough. Her mic could have been louder for her runs and the chorus for sure. They could have had her belt the chorus as well. But you can hear that voice and ability really well over all I think, no song fully encapsulates her, not even close. I think of All I ask, Easy on Me, My Funny Valentine. All do a phenomenal job showcasing her. But all 3 together don't even cover it despite maybe being the most thorough examples.

Sounds like auto tune on the dude, Redone. Sounds possible on her too, but she has been accused of that before without it, so I don't know. She has used auto tune very little in her work. Just a few seconds here or there, and I agree I prefer she didn't. No big deal though, her choice. The big issue is the mashup parts. Sounds so odd. Not sure if it is a mistake by the sound guys or a bad decision. But it was a bit much. You had her, it sounds like twice over, in the background backing herself up, and her live. I would have had her belt that part into the chorus clearly, it even states 'I'm gonna a say it from the chest'. No worries though buddy, it isn't her song, Redone purchased it I heard, and they re did it. He's a big time dude, Grammy's and such, producer. So if all of that was on purpose he likely had a lot to do with it. Plus it's the style the kids like and she got great exposure and showed well. It was all a win, win, win. Her originals are amazing so far, nothing to suggest she'll do much of this kind of music. She can and will do it all I'm guessing. It would be smart. So some of it will be. But mostly we'll get the incredible natural voice, talent and styles we love. Worst case scenario we'll have to watch her live stuff mostly on some of her songs. I'm just happy we saw her in a duet. I don't like them, but it's cool she can do it, find chemistry, be her confident self in front of 300 Million people watching etc. She seemed at peace and in her zone. It's a wonderful opportunity, exposure, momentum for her album drop slated for the fall, and single upcoming late April. Even seems like proof her gigantic label will be behind her 100%. So most of us despite mixed feelings are over the moon about this one.

Provide an example of a song where you think Auto-Tune was used with Angelina? - the only song I think where might have been used is the EDM song Above The Water where she sings a run at the end - but then again, Angelina has the vocal skill to maybe pull that off without it. @@robertsilva631 Yeah very little I said. And honestly, can't confirm myself. Because as you mentioned she has a neat monotone ability to emulate auto tune anyway. We've heard it live before. However the Million Miles belt is not a good example of auto tune. She has a recent comment on her studio version complaining about her using auto tune, which is dumb, she didn't. I think these people mostly mean well, want to ensure her she doesn't need it is all. But she knows that by now. It's useless nitpicking. No need to bring that up to someone who has used it very little at most. If you want to hear it, listen to the official versions of Million Miles and 7th heaven, not the studio versions. You will find it for a couple seconds here or there in each, provided you know what it sounds like. Not a big deal, or an accusation, an artistic choice she could do without, but it ruins nothing. And no, that isn't a confirmation, she could very well be skillfully emulating the sound, and with use of other minor effects at the same time throwing us off. It wouldn't surprise me at all if she did not use it ever. It could be certain tones of hers, in certain styles, with certain mic's and other little effects. I am not expert enough to say yay or nay. I only mean to suggest after very carefully listening, that it sounds like she uses it very, very little. But terminology is a thing too. There is auto tune, then there is pitch correction, effects like reverb. So who knows what people really mean when discussing it, and what those mean to us non experts. I do think there is a bit in her official versions of her Republic originals though. If you would like I can go over them again and try to time stamp a link or two for each. But I'd rather not, this is all small potatoes. She uses it less than anyone else if at all, it's not a slight or a problem. It's just a bit of a dirty word to some. Still I can try to help you find the perceived auto tune sound. So you can know what folks are talking about, it isn't that belt at all. I think we all know she certainly doesn't need it. If ever used, it's a choice. I had an argument just the other day with someone I saw eye to eye with. It was just a matter of my perception of his intent and extent in his words regarding post production and auto tune.
