In today's video, I share my thoughts on the latest Mugler Feminine Fragrance, Angel Nova, and how it compares to Mugler's Iconic Perfume Angel from 1992 and also how it compares to Mugler's Angel Muse. I really like this Mugler better than the others. It’s a good summer fragrance for me and I’m 53. I get a strong raspberry scent of course but there’s a woodsy depth too. Really like it on me.

I’ve been mixing Angel with Angel Nova, and it smells fabulous! Angel Nova by itself is a little too girly for me. I wanted more of the angel DNA So mixing it worked out better for me.

Nova is a raspberry blast, but with a dirty B.O. akigali base. I absolutely smell it. I do detect a real structure. Also, I’m in my 40s and I am living for Nova.

I actually really liked this fragrance and found it far nicer than Dior Absolutely Blooming, La Vie Est Belle Intensement etc. it is a well done raspberry gourmand and fun to wear IMO. It reminds me of the Eau Croisiere flankers (which I really enjoy) but with raspberry, litchi and rose. 🌹 🍹

When I was a teenager Angel was the first fragrance that fascinated me. I used to go to perfumeries after school to take a sniff :) Although I wouldn’t wear it because I dislike a strong patchouli I still was intrigued by it. Thank you for reviewing the Angel Nova, I also agree this one is targeting younger generation. I would appreciate you doing more reviews for the female subscribers!

Thank you for this review! Sampled the fragrance and literally felt like a walking neon pink marker in the autumn day. It's artificial, however, it does create a careless feeling. It brought me some "Legally blonde" vibes. As Sebastian said, younger audience would enjoy it better.

This should not have been an Angel Flanker. It should have been it’s own scent. I own both Angel and Angel Nova. I love them both, but they are very different. I typically don’t love fruity scents, but there is something about Angel Nova that drew me in and kept me interested. I’ve been wearing it a bunch this summer, and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. For a fruity scent, it’s also got a depth, warmth, and sexiness to it. I’m glad I own them both!

Sebastian, I wonder if your bottle just needed more time…This is beast mode longevity and projection. (Compared to the crap we get nowadays.) fruity to the hilt? Yes. I'm 34. I wear Angel everyday. Love it so much. I really don't get the gourmand though. At first, maybe, but the dry down is obviously a more woody patchouli and I loveeee it.

I love wearing Angel. I just purchased a 100ml bottle that was made in 2015. I purchased it on eBay from a very highly rated seller. It should last me a very long time. Also, my favorite of the A*men collection is the original, of which I also own an older formulation.

I Love it got 50 ml for Christmas. The flacon is beautiful. I think it smells like blended Raspberry and i think you cant overdose it because it is a smoothly light scent 🥰❤️

Your review is consistent with others who compare Angel Nova with Angel. I ordered this one from Selfridge's in London. I like them both but Angel is my signature scent after 30 years.

I have an interesting story regarding the original Angle. While walking around at a fragrance shop, the salesman gave me Angel and another fragrance with blueish juice (I do not remember which one now...). I wanted to give Angel to my mother but accidentally swapped the samples. In a rush, I sprayed on Angle. Guess what, a friend of mine asked me what this was because he was searching for a new fragrance. But it was kind of “shameful” to admit that I, as a teenage boy back then, wear a women’s perfume 😅. With this new one, I guess, the reaction would not have been this positive 🙈

Thank you for this review! You’ve mentioned many times how much you love Angel, I’m excited to hear your thoughts. I don’t have Angel, but I’m on my second bottle of Angel Muse. I might buy a travel spray of Angel to try it. Also, if you aren’t able to do more reviews of feminine leaning fragrances, I always appreciate when reviews or lists mention if something is more masculine, unisex, etc.

Yep, mostly agree with you on the Angel Nova. When I first smelled it I was not impressed and it seemed so mainstream for the price and yesss SUPER Girly ha ha! The berry is very pronounced as advertised, but the rose is very light but pleasant, and not "supernatural." I sprayed it again 24hr later and got a little better, the rose scent came only at drydown. They should've just called it Nova because it has nothing to do with my Angel! I don't really get the woody smell.

I got samples of Angel Nova on four occasions from Mugler over the last few months. Its very sweet lots of fruits definitely deviates from the original. I would recommend this to a younger female perfect for under 30. Like you said the last 2 mens fragrances have been a let down (Alien Man Mirage was far too sweet, and Ultimate was a nice gourmand but very soft). L'Oréal please give us EDP and Parfum versions of pure havane, pure malt, tonka and bring back the discontinued gems like Ultra Zest

Always appreciate the feminine and unisex targeted reviews. I don't consider myself as someone who is generally into super feminine scents. In general my frag preferences tend to lean unisex. But it's always nice to hear some recommendations that aren't going to make me smell like a frat boy or a lumberjack.

Nova sounds . a sampling !!! I just received Angel Cometes EDT 2005.....and I was blown away !!! Such a surprise,because I have always shunned the Angel original EDP. A new favorite for me. I think I am going to go "balls to the wall" and order the original EDP...lol. I have Angel Muse and Aura edp's coming in the mail. Definitely not Delina. I will do a video about Delina soon and will discuss how similar and not similar they are. They are both created by the same perfumer but I don't find them similar except for the fruitiness.

I got a big bottle of nova as a gift and wasn’t sure if I liked it. The bottle is beautiful and smells nothing like the original Angel. I wore Angel daily for several years and got tired of it. Nova is good but a little too fruity. I got tired of this one after a few weeks. Can’t find a perfume o really like anymore. They all smell so similar.

Sounds great for a teenaged, more fem person. Meh. I used to love Angel when it came out. It was my main perfume. I think you should only review what you’re interested in. I watch a few reviewers who only review male scents, but I learn about brands I’ve never heard of. I then look for their less masculine perfumes. Some styles are great for men and women, and they mention that.

I don’t mind if you review more feminine fragrances I like to know more even if I’m not wearing them, nowadays I try feminine marketed fragrances if it’s smells too feminine don’t use it, but there are some that smell unisex and are definitely fantastic like Shalimar.

I absolutely love Muse edp. I actually used to spray cards with it and leave them in my shoes overnight 🤣 Not as a de-odorizer, but just have hazelnut smelling shoes. 👞 Legit. As for men's/women's oriented reviews, a smell is a smell to me. I would want to see a vid on the new Molinard collection though (4 freshies). Two in there I still haven't smelled. Plus Santal Insolent!

A fragrance should never be about gender, because what I’ve learnt is that our bodies carries different DNA and some people can pull of certain fragrance while others can’t, as a guy I tried Lancôme la vie est belle and got numerous compliments I remembered a girl came to me and said boy you smell edible I could eat you, those words took me off my feet, if only she had known what I wore 😂, ive tried Lancôme idôle intense edp and the body lotion after a while my nose couldn’t smell it anymore on my skin but people were smelling me from a distance and told me how much they loved my fragrance and the way I smelled, today I went in to ULTA Beauty in Manhattan and I tried this exact Mugler angel nova and it didn’t smell as much at the time compared to the ones I’ve tried like Burberry her and Ariana grande cloud edp, which smelled high and bright at the time but now I regret not buy this one instead because when I walked out of the store, the only fragrance I could’ve smelled with a punch was mugler angel nova, tomorrow I will go to exchange the Burberry for this one

Thank you for reviewing this fragrance! Regular "Angel" is too strong for me, as are most Mugler fragrances, but the "Angel eau Croisiere flankers" were a good fit for me. I admit, the bottles are very pretty and swayed me towards purchasing them ;-) I appreciate that you review feminine-marketed fragrances from time to time, and even if a fragrance is marketed towards men or unisex, I like hearing your takes on them. La Rose Angel from Garden of the Stars is simply divine. It is a a soft rose blended with a heavy dose of Angel. The drydown is a completely Angel-ic DNA with a touch of rose. The limited edition series was launched several years ago when the brand still went by the name Thierry Mugler and you can still purchase it now. Thanks for sharing - looks like I'll stick to the old school Angel 😇
