This has been my favorite version of this song since I was a teen. It's still as beautiful to listen to as ever.

I have listened to many versions of Siuil a Run, this is definitely my favorite! I understand you're in career academics, and that is wonderful! Just know I love your musical style, if you have time to spend on it as a hobby I heartily approve. I'd love to listen to more of your music ❤️

It feels very much like a moderate waltz, but with hesitations.changes. a friend and I were able to waltz to it.

Trad Irish music is a lot like Jazz, in that the cadence and timing wildly meander at times but the musicians are so in sync with eachother that it works. :) I once had a Swedish girlfriend who was an amazing classical violinist who played in an orchestra. She came to live in Ireland and was fascinated by the trad music so joined a group as a fiddle player. It took her 3 years to understand and follow along with the timing. she was amazed at the complexity, and how the musicians just 'feel' when the timing: starts/changes/speeds up/stops/repeats.
