The crt screen pops up with the touch of a button. I couldn't get a signal to it, but it's still a keeper for me. At the very end of the video there's a short clip of a visitor I had outside my window while making this video.

I picked-up one of these at a Thrift Shop a year ago that was ( and still is) very dirty. Was a bit amazed that everything worked, aside from scratchy controls of course. On my growing list for a through dismantling and cleaning. I'm trying to locate aftermarket 6 volt SLA batteries(or maybe even one 12 volt) to fit in the tray to even get that 3 way Power feature going again.I just love portable Panasonic stuff from the 70's and 80's and have a growing amount of small TV's and Radios.

I used 2 6v 2ah AA battery RC packs from Amazon and just wired them up in place and made a filler. They charge fine and the unit runs fine.

I have one as well. Really good to see the batteries and battery tray, mine is missing. I have an analogue to digital converter with a digital antenna and can pick up about 12 stations over the air, including ME TV so you can watch Route 66 or whatever and really do some time travel. The picture quality is very good with the digital converter. They are not expensive to get, or weren't when the changeover happened. Thanks for posting this.

Now that's a good find you got there Dan!! Man, I love those small TVs from the 70s! So rare to find one anymore. I saw one at a hamfest maybe 5 or 6 years ago. The guy wanted $100 or so for it and wouldn't budge on his price. I've got my game room stuffed with things. Even picking up a new small model car has been impossible to find a space for it without letting go something else, which is getting tough for me to do as well. But I'll tell ya, if I ever find one of those again, I'd have to pick it up and find a good place to show it off in the game room! Such a great piece of 70s tech! See ya -- Atco

I have this TV and am looking to sell it. Mine works, the pop up function needs to be fixed, I have to manually lift the TV while pressing the button. Location is USA zipcode 99207. Send me a message if you are interested.

I have one of these myself. However, mine is literally a year older than yours. Mine was built in April 1975. I haven't turn it on in a couple of years though. It worked fine the last time it was turned on. So, it should work just fine as it did a couple of years ago.

It was still portable in the 2000s In 2006 It’s still portable In 2009 is useless now you have to use a DTV converter box now it’s a shame all those TVs become useless and it loses its portability Due to a DTV transition on June 12, 2009
