He could have told her to take her own time to analyse and give an answer... Whereas Saad doesn't even want to let her know about his feelings so that she is completely free to touch the topic only if she is confident that she loves Saad. It also shows the trust on his love that it doesn't need any confession:) This was my opinion not a very bad behaviour of Areeb though, comparatively Saad tops the chart!

The way writer has highlighted the concept of infatuation ( love at first sight with intense feeling but last for short period ) that areeb has for maheer is insane , and later she will take us to the real concept of Mohabbat ( the love where trust and understanding are basic elements) which only saad has for maheer , even he gave up his mohabbat just for prioritizing maheer's happiness ( as they say love means to put that person's need before yours whom you love ) ! That's why maheer is questioning again and again " kiya Mohabbat itni jaldi ho jati ha? And she is confused ) Wao liked writer's idea to make the young generation understand as majority of Youth falls for such misunderstood concept of " love at first sight" that mostly harms them later in form of break ups and all that bcz love at first sight is just deception ( it's just an attraction) real love develops with time and understanding ! Maheer will understand it later ! Loving drama so far
