(my opinion) 1st story: Nope, ur brother deserves better. 2nd story: Definitely yes. What kind of father treats his daughter like that? She is having night terrors every night and obviously going thru something. Instead of being there for her, u are completely unsympathetic and blaming her for something she can't control. 3rd story: Absolutely not. I am sorry u had to go through that. You gave your fiance a second chance and she intentionally blew it. It was 100% her mistake, u did the right thing cutting her off (tho u shouldn't have hit her), and u shouldn't have to suffer the consequences of her mistakes. You couldn't have known she would unalive herself. You did the best u could. 5th story: Not the a hole, but to compromise, u can close the curtains of the kitchen window. That way your neighbour won't be bothered, and u can do whatever u want.

I mean, no one person can ever really cause someone to unalive themselves, but the person in story 3 seems pretty dedicated to not accepting responsibility for their abusive behavior. Saying you're not proud of hitting someone isn't the end of the story. It seems like it was an unhealthy relationship, but I just hear deflection all across that letter. If that's your answer when you're frustrated you need to work on other coping mechanisms that are not physical abuse. Lots of people get cheated on multiple times and don't hit their partners.
