What do you expect from a government that is being used as proxy by Britain after 1963? The regime of Mzee and MOI tagged all freedom fighters as terrorists? Silenced in fear until Kibaki rose to power. This was to continue in Uhuru's time as Moi's successor. Kibaki, a man who respected and loved freedom fighters, ensured dedan kimathi monument as well as tom mboya were erected. Unfortunately after he retired, the Mzee and Moi's regime were rebirthed consecutively. The freedom fighters continue in desolate lifestyles. Fellow Kenyans, for how long shall you continue lamenting? There is strength in numbers, why not mobilise and come up with an initiative to give back to the freedom fighters for the freedom we enjoy today? 47milion people! even half of us contributing 1 shilling a month in an year we can give back to 12 freedom fighters annually. freedom fighters who were never political elites have suffered the worst for this nation. But what do we do other than lament, no one hears.

All freedom fighters were treated very badly. The likes of Dedan Kimathi, Baimungi, Koigi Wamwere, Wangari Mathai and others should be assisted by Government. Why don't Ruto Government do the following. Allocate 10,000 acres of land in Galana Kulalu or elsewhere and share it among the families of Mau-mau, especially the ones mentioned above, and also give them KSh 10b to allow them die in piece?
