Hi Obisan! Loved this video as I do all so thanks for another good one. What you ate is a butternut squash and I'm not shocked by your reaction because it is delicious. I love to mix it up with a bit of salt and butter, kind of like mashed potato after steaming/boiling or roasted with a bit of olive oil. I would love to know how you made yours because it looked really good 😋

The name is Butternut squash and it is a fruit. Butternut squash is a large and pear-shaped fruit with a golden-brown to yellow skin. Because it contains seeds, it is actually a fruit rather than a vegetable. Once peeled and cooked, the flesh is soft and sweet. It can be roasted, pureed, mashed or used in soups or casseroles. It’s a good source of beta-carotene, which is turned into vitamin A in the body. Beta-carotene gives the flesh its bright orange colour. Bulk up a spaghetti bolognese by adding some butternut squash.

Butternut squash is delicious! Actually, I was introduced to it as a child and never had a taste for it. I guess as you get older, taste also changes. I also use butternut squash as a substitute for spaghetti noodles! Add some spinach and other ingredients, and you got yourself a good eating!

Its same with nigerian UGU/ squash in english. Butternut squash is like winter season growing pumpkins or squash. What u did is very good with chicken when cooking. Its sweet. Mostly they make it as soup..

I eat the butternut squash as a healthier version of pasta. I have a daughter allergic to gluten, so this was a recommendation from the nutritionist. Butternut squash spaghetti, basically.
