i live in LA and we have the largest Korean population outside of Korea. There are tons of H-Marts and other Asian supermarkets. I love them. I'm excited to make this soup. My best friends step mom is from Korea and when we were kids she gave us dry seaweed sheets to roll our rice in. I have not seen her in 40yrs though. They moved to Philly and I'm on the west coast now.

U and ur family's dynamics are really interesting. Im persian and me and my immediate family moved to new zealand when i was seven. It was extremely hard for my parents and my older brother because family is above everything in persian culture. Its always family first. First, I want to say I really enjoy your video's, especially in the beginning of your KZbin channel. I realize that living in a different country you should/need to assimilate for the most part to that country but I'm feeling it more difficult to relate to you over time. I'm sure my opinion doesn't matter to you or other's that watch your channel but it makes me a little sad that's it's become that way for ME. I think your beautiful and a good person. But I started watching your channel because it was very interesting to see how an American woman adjusted to a different country. But now it seems as though you've totally assimilated, which is not a bad thing!! But honestly I could watch a native South Korean show their life and see/appreciate the difference. There isn't any contrast anymore. I know people grow and change but it almost seems as though there's no connection between the two. Meaning I feel that you don't see the good/wonderful things in the U.S combined with your beautiful experiences in South Korea. I hope I'm not coming off rude or insensitive.
