Production support is branch which supports the IT systems/applications/ Robots in RPA - currently being used by the business users. This primary objective is to ensure the applications are up and running and the Jobs are getting executed properly.
There are various levels of production support
Level 1 support - Initial helpdesk.
Level 2 Support - Technical support for the application or software.
Level 3 Support - Team working on defects and enhancements, bug fixing etc.
This week was being approached by an UiPath Support Aspirant who wanted to understand the orchestrator and the Support Activities we do on daily basis.

Ideally it’s L1 L2 and L3 Support ! But if these are in context of support rolres - it should refer to levels of support

Hi Sir thanks for the nice Video came to know in detail about orchestrator ,Assets, Queues and Robots.. got clear idea about support role. If possible please take interviews of support guys and keep posted as series.

Hi Can you please explain the difference orchestrator logs and custom logs, And do we require both these logs or custom log is itself enough in real time?

Orchestrator logs - Generated by using add Log message activity in uipath studio. These logs are visible on orchestrator and are stored in orchestrator DB. Since stored in DB - when processes count is huge - the DB becomes full because of logs. hence there is a concept of custom logs - where logs are stored in a notepad/ excel file and kept at some shared location and not on DB. In Projects - It will depends whether are you allowed to create logs on orchestrator and you have access to the logs. If not - then we use custom logs. Hi Muki bro, Video was clear and informative I have few doubts like 1) From which point RPA Developers are assigned to project (In the sense like from creation of pdd sdd or code building stage ?) and till when (Means till hyper care or support or only till the package is deployed in production orchestrator ?).

Hello, Appreciate your Feedback. Once the PDD is finalized - RPA Developers are sometimes involved in designing the solution along with the solution architect , Then Development , Unit Testing , Fixing Testing Defects , Readiness for Production and Hypercare and sometime during Production Bug Fixes. In Orchestrator - Go to the Respective Folders > Automation > Jobs > Select the Job and See Logs

Excellent video learned a lot. But I have one query that how to get error message alerts or Status alert to my Gmail when my unattended bot encountered with any errors

Thank you for the Response . You just have to go to Alerts in Orchestrator .. Click on the Bell Icon at the top Right ... Go to Alerts Settings and Subscribe for alerts.

My bot is scheduled to run every 2hours, so every 2hours a new job is created but I need to schedule it to stop running after a 12hour window, eg it should only run from 8 am to 8pm. How to schdule with work window?

While scheduling we have an option called stop job after .

@@MukeshKala Yes, so is it for per job or for per trigger. Even if my trigger is creating different jobs, will it stop creating jobs after that time span is over? So that means that I need to select "After 12 hours" in the stop jib option?

how can we store double data type (float) in Assests as its store only int.eg.5.6

You Can store the value as String "5.6" in assets and in your code - Convert to Double and use it.

So Login to orchestrator can be done using AD (use the same login as window ) - this never expires as it uses the user current password. If its a static passwords then in companies we have policies to reset the passwords every 2 months or 3 months - then someone has to manfully reset and give new passwords .
