In an ideal scenario , the automation should be successful or it should fail with proper errors. In this case , the automation would be marked as Faulted . You can publish the automation to orchestrator and try it :)

what is the need of rethrowing by the children to parent, if we can handle exception in child itself by catching both system and busines exception?as system exception is the parent of all exception, can we not handle all the exceptions in child catch itself ?

You can handle, But In situations where you want the complete process to be stopped in case of any child exception - or you have a scenario where you want the parent to handle all the exceptions then we require Rethrow.

Hi sir, your way of explanation is awesome. So, we can use Rethrow in all child Try Catches and handle in Parent Try Catch at Once, Instead of handling in all Childs...

Correct , because most of the time you need to do the same thing … let’s say you have something different to do and you want to continue the automation even after exception , we do not use re throw

Great video clear all doubts,I have questions related to this - 1. While using - (a) throw activity in the try block. Will it be able to run the activity inside final block of try catch? ( b) re-throw in the catch block. Will it be able to run the activity inside final block of try catch ?

1. Finally block will execute irrespective of whatever happens 2. Whatever we put in finally will always execute. Would recommend you create a small automation and run these scenarios - this will clear your doubts

That Would entirely Depend on You as a developer that what do we want to do , Do we wan to stop the Process or we want to continue the Process . If we want to Stop - We Just Rethrow the Exception
