I played this build almost exclusively during my monthslong journey, which ended yesterday, to gather all the PvP Materials for my Legendary Armor (screw you, ascended shards of glory!). I am not as good as you were in this video, but since the build really packs a punch I managed. At the end I got relatively good at it, at least from my view. :D I need a break from PvP for the moment but maybe in a few weeks or months I might get into some unranked. No ranked for me ever again. That is a toxic cesspool and I am glad I don't need to go back there.

Toxic cesspool because people go for low ranked cheese builds like this thinking it can carry them through ranked. Its funny how I've never heard a gold 2+/plat player complain about how toxic the game mode is lol. They only complain about being matched with silver ranks who think they are much better than they actually are :P

As a player who almost exclusively plays pvp and is constantly helping newer players get into the game mode, I think the notes and brief explanations are a godsend in helping build situational awareness and game knowledge. Awesome video! Now you have to play more mesmer...

I feel like the PvP in GW2 requires more intimate knowledge of the game than I can every hope to acquire. But it's still fun to watch Muk muk sh*t up.

Time management and objective awareness are the most important things that I think most newer players and even vets who don't pvp often overlook. 1 point every 2 seconds per objective captured 5 points per kill + bonus map objectives You use that information to weigh if a fight is worth staying in vs capturing/decaping another point and so on. People really don't understand how even being a few seconds late to capturing home or dying off point instead of on, can instantly turn a match. Seconds really matter in this game mode.

I echo the sentiment expressed by multiple people here - keep making videos like this and your other PvP commentary guides. I did ranked PvP for the first time this last season with 5 v 5 randoms, but stalled out around Silver 3. I rewatched your videos last night so I can do better next season.

Gotta remember though that in ranked its a forced 50% overall win rate, how you play ranked pvp in gw2 doesn't really matter. The top players are win traders and there is a lot of bots. The best way to get plat is to play Daredevil and never do a single point of damage to anyone, just stealth disengage and go from point to point capping and backcapping, you get hundreds more wins that way, best way to beat the system essentially.

that 1v1 against the reaper, how do you survive the reaper state with no loss of health?

Most simply, it came down to Mukluk pressing his buttons quickly, and the reaper hesitating and not knowing what to do. Muk landed a hilt bash, stunning them right as they went into reaper shroud, along with enough damage to burst through most of it. Then the Reaper had weakness which reduces their ability to do damage significantly. The reaper was also very new to the game judging from their play. They primarily used greatsword autoattacks, didn't dodge properly, and were playing a poorly constructed build. That gave Mukluk a lot of breathing room, and allowed him to land a lot of damage and conditions before the reaper attempted anything threatening.

Well that looked like fun. I usually play pvp once a day, unranked since coming back in December. The community is toxic. Someone gets flamed in map/team every night. Last night was my turn. The community has too many trash humans. Just don't play the game mode is my advice for everyone. I am out, it isn't fun seeing it or having it done to you.

Unfortunate reality of pvp. You can turn off chat like others suggest. I've grown up playing pvp games, so I'm not fazed by it at this point. I prefer to read chat incase someone says something useful, and do my best to de-escalate things, chastise people for toxicity, and be friendly with friendly people. Pvp will be a lot more positive once EoD hits, since people will be trying things out and having fun, so if it interests you, I would try again then.

I really dont like gw2 pvp doesnt let you play whatever you like because there are op builds that should be nerfed to shit untill nobody know which way is up anymore but they dont do it.
