Mulatu Astatke, connu comme étant le fondateur de l’éthio-jazz développe une musique harmoniquement statique et répétitive, qui appelle à la danse, voire à une transe parfois funky, parfois mélancolique, et toujours empreinte de mélismes orientaux. À l’approche de son 80e anniversaire, l’artiste qui a influencé un nombre incalculable de musiciens à travers les continents est désormais accompagné par l’ensemble de musiciens australiens Black Jesus Experience. Son répertoire présente des arrangements plus modernes, sans rien perdre de son caractère tellurique et intemporel.

Tsome Digua is a book of St. Yare (505 AD), who wrote Liturgical Hymns for Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church. These liturgies has different types and his Holiness also developed it own musical notes which is still being used in the Church!! Tsome digua is one of his books and there are a bunch of books he wrote related to Liturgy and theology. shout out to Gash Mulatu!!
