Mulching pine trees

I'm looking into starting up a mulching and clearing company here where I live. I currently TIG weld for a living. I also know folks that repair jet turbines. They build up the outer edge surface with their welder, and have it machined down to spec. I know this doesn't require as such of a tight tolerance, but you think that this could be applied to this while back at the shop?
