Also such a simple thing but tape on the aluminum on the outside of the cut. Genius. I always try to tape the jig saw and it just catches shavings and scratches it anyway.

KSR you’re killing it. I’m one of the guys that loves mullet content, mainly fabrication. Seeing a car go from nothing to a top of the line professional race car is a real treat. I don’t have the money to build anything close to that, nor the time, so I hope somehow you can keep building race cars for us.

I have some friends that started watching the series and didn’t like how in depth it was, but I’m obsessed. I love how you cover all of the small details that most people wouldn’t even think about, and I love seeing the creative problem solving you go through with this car. Keep it up

I myself and I’m sure many others actually like how many videos have been done on Mellett. Personally I like the in-depth, step by step builds and could easily watch 24 videos more on it. On that subject, I would like to see less of the time lapses, but I understand it’s a business, the time it takes filming, etc etc. Either way I dig the vids so keep em’ cranking! 👍🏻

Seeing Mullet in person really shows how precise Keven and his crew really is. No detail is overlooked and no compromise is made. Yep. Not to be negative, but all that tig welding is almost as bad on the hands and wrists as typing. Which usually leads to carpal tunnel and surgery. Hopefully he has consulted with someone in the physical therapy field for exercises to prevent or slow its arrival.

I’ve played bass over 40 years and despite 3-4 occupations that could’ve done me in, I circumvented it by stretching multiple times every day for many years. Hopefully Kevin might see this and kick around the idea - it takes a minute but it sure is nice (for me) to be almost 60 and still have great flexibility and no sign of carpal tunnel.

Put a nub on the fuel door so that when it closes, it hits the voltmeter switch to the off position. If it's left on, there is no way to see that it's on from the outside and a flat battery waiting to happen :)

It never ceases to amaze me what can be done with a car customization wise. It now feels to me like each car you create is in fact a one off piece of art...that goes REALLY fast. I can see why these cars matter so much to people. It's not just about the money, but the blood sweat and energy put into it.

Kevin, when someone decides to have a race car fabrication museum.....mullet WILL BE IN IT. YOU AND YOUR CREW do outstanding work . the bottom of the mullet is as beautiful as the top side. a secondary ground on the back half is REALLY SMART addition to the system. how about secondary padding for the seats for race week. rugged radio headsets ready to go?? Charging ports for the smartphones?. CUP HOLDERS FOR SURE. great video sir.

Like the old saying goes “The devil is in the details.” It’s to bad that Mullet was painted before the rust repair in the bed as well as the door lighting and other body modifications you had to do to build the car, but it is what it is.

A simple solution would be to add a skidplate under the car, that will add significant protection against road salt, rainwater and damage that you don't want under there, in addition it will greatly improve the aerodynamics under the car, which I can imagine are pretty bad right now, but I'm sure you've thought of these things already.

I'm not sure what the plan is as to how the tonneau cover is going to close but if the stove pipe were flush it may crease your options as to the method of closure of the cover. Who am I kidding?
