Ive known kevin since he was a parts counter jocky for the local hot rod shop. His knowledge of this stuff is amazin and he is humble as any person ive ever known . I had him put the headers on my sons v6 import lol he calls me and send pics saying i just couldnt put these on looking like they did with crappy welds etc o and i remade a few of the tubs to flow better and clear every thing lmbo it cost me but dang they did look sweet and im sure worked better than the car even deseerves

@@timopheliac18 engine masters did a special on methanol ran through a "dry" intake. You should check it out....interesting as hell. All of these meth kits on dry ls intakes are actually dangerous unless you run a rich air fuel to start with. Pretty interesting stuff. Look it up...might change your mind a little about meth or at least make you scratch your head and think about it a little. Good stuff. I believe Richard Holdner (however you spell it) was guest host on the episode.

Kevin is a Holly certified guy, and the car is going to run a Holly ECU, but his build knowledge is amazing. Small stuff like coolant temp and pressure sensor in one makes Kevin one of the best choices for this build. Small stuff like that. Jeremy is great with the GM factory computer stuff. Also, Jeremy is busy running his own channel and building his own cars. Everyone cleetus talks to seems to be great partner choices, between brands or just people that work for him.

We do course racing in our family, specifically me Dad, and we are all pit, body and what not. But he has a sheet were he enters barometric, temp, humidity, etc. After a race we even measure each tire, outer, middle and inner portion of the slick, its temp. EGTs during the race. Pre and Post race air pressure. He was an accountant before retirement and is all about his numbers. A good driver still has to deal with the conditions of the world, cool to see Kevin is all about that. I remember at Moroso I went with my pops and I asked a lot of questions about the track, was my first time there, and gave him a suggestion about tire pressures. Few laps into his first outing, he had removed 3 seconds from his personal best there and the weekend got better from there. Sometimes racing is nerdy and sometimes it is you and the machine becoming more than there separate selves.

My first thoughts on some of the additional sensors was "Really??" The after I thought about it for a minute. Its not like this is going to be a Saturday Night Cruiser Hot Rod. This is High Tech information gathering built into a race car. This isn't your dads 1990's 1/4 mile car anymore. This will be fun to watch.
