All the A&P mechanics watching this are happy to finally see safety wire appear on the channel. Obviously you don't want to safety wire stuff that gets taken apart often, but anything that is fastened long enough to vibrate lose should get drilled for some wiring. :)

@cleetusM Have him add in a CTek D250SA so that you can have the vehicle's alternator charge the battery system while on the road driving. That's a big help if you're dealing with a lot of battery demand as those two solar panels won't go a long way.

That's what the plug into a 110 circuit is for.. the solar panels are kinda just an added bonus. The battery's and solar panels should be plenty between races, if you need to really charge the battery just run an extension cord to it like you would a block heater or somthin

@@DayFour2019 I understand what it's for, I've built these systems. What a 120v AC cannot do is recharge anything without AC power.... So my recommended solution takes DC power that the vehicle ISN'T using while driving, and can recharge their auxiliary battery system.

@GeneralPreparedness1 I do agree that it's not a bad idea if they need more power and may very well be a good solution if they end up needing more power on the road. But my thought is that it's more cables and cords ran between the trailer n vehicle and if the unit is mounted on the car then it may be weight they don't necessarily need/want. If you could mount in the trailed then discard that but it's still more wiring added to the spaghetti bowl either way

CLEETUS, If you do read this comment, this a suggestion for the lock wire on the dump valve. Look up avaiation lockwire. That style is stronger hold if done right. 6-8 twists per inch with no air gaps. If it rubs up against anything use an acrylic tubes. Make sure opposite ends are in a tighten fashion if one does move. Hope this comment helps in the future if need be.

Oh hell! That trailer is absolutely AWESOME! He did an incredible job on it. You probably couldn't sleep in it comfortably but, it would be great to carry a tent and camping gear, go racing and damn near any situation I can think of, it would be fantastic to have as support equipment. He REALLY put serious thought into the layout and STILL left room for a reasonable load of other gear. I bet all that cost a fair bit but, who bloody cares, it is the best setup trailer I can ever remember seeing, and it's not even particularly big but hell, he set it up so well, and comprehensively. Fantastic work by him there👍.

The current version of Cleetus is much smarter and less rambunctious than that! He still has some piss and vinegar in him, just not the crazy kind!

Also if its allowed by sickweek / drag n drive rules maybe add a DC-DC charger to the trailer so the batteries can be charged by the alternator :) Because I feel like the solar panels wont be able to keep up if you drain the system each day (I have 200w solar 280Ah in my camper and I need more charging)
