@@fartfacefrank9238 That one should have been roughly 42-20 or something in favor of Nebraska but Niles Paul, Brandon Kinnie and Rex Burkhead, I believe (might be wrong on who exactly), combined to drop 4 or 5 passes, at least 3 that would have been walk-in touchdowns, each one hitting them squarely in the hands. That one reflected poorly on Pelini in that the team looked like they had been told all year long that they NEEDED to avenge the Conference Championship Game and played with their buttholes puckered so hard they presumably shit diamonds after the game. And hey, while we're at it, the team lost the bowl game before it began because the stupid idiots making the decisions decided to rematch Nebraska with Washington. Nebraska-OU 1978, Florida State-Florida 1996, probably others I don't know or have forgotten, bowl game rematches don't always end so good for the team that won the regular season matchup.

Bo ruined him.
@antwuanlamont46945 жыл бұрын
Taylor Martinez was never good.. If was just an unknown talent playing at the wrong position. He made a name with his peers his first year on campus on the scout team playing WR. His speed was the talk of the town by Prince A. and Alfonzo D. The staff had the "genius" idea to throw him in at QB not being realistic on his QB skill set being so limited. The moment a smart defense was able to point out what makes him uncomfortable, the offense wasn't so dynamic. Look at the game when Texas came to Lincoln. I believe that was the game in which Martinez had rumors of wanting to transfer. Called his dad mid game.
@antwuanlamont46945 жыл бұрын
@@JB-uv4hm.....Bo didn't ruin him. The fuck are you talking about. Bo gave him an opportunity NO OTHER COACH in D1 was willing to give him. And that was the opportunity to play QB......even his local schools in California didn't feel he was suited to play at that position. Everyone offered him at WR or DB or didn't offer at all.
@antwuanlamont46945 жыл бұрын
@@dannyhuskerjay........you facts are jumble up. His high school coach didn't make him a good enough QB to get an offer from even the schools in California as a QB.......but you want us to believe he went to that same high school coach 3-4 years later and it made him better?......lol. First of all, he didn't go back and work with his high school coach......he worked with a QB Coaching Guru named Steve Calhoun. Steve pretty much tried to work on TM's mechanics (which were horrendous). Martinez got reps doing this over the summer(s) but when the heat of the game came about, he resulted to his original self. Thus the reason his team wanted a freshman (Tommy Armstrong) & career back up (Ron Kellogg III) to replace him as a senior. They had more trust in the new comer and back up in being more consistent that TM who by that time had statistically was on top of almost every QB category.
