I'm 50 years old and am in the process of re-defining my identity and career after 25 years as a professional chef. I'm also getting back into rock climbing after leaving the sport for 9 years. Like you, I was simply done with climbing, which was my universe for almost 20 years. I couldn't explain why I was done with it, but all I know is climbing is calling me back and I'm excited to get back on rock, for the challenge and the social aspect of the sport! I'm 25 years old and doing various sports for as long as I can remember. There are other things going on for me but sport is my life and for the past couple of years I've piled up quite a lot of injuries some of which caused wavering in my devotion, but somehow I always get back because I just can't live without sports.
