Yeah the entire great northern war is good example for not letting your ego get the better of you, the swedes should've peace out when they had the chance instead of going for more and losing their steam completely

Yeah, in fact once they beat the Danes and Poles the Russians would've probably just left should the Swedes wished as so, and then they could've been an instrumental piece in the War of the Spanish Succession, which would solidify their position in Europe, but Charles' ego got to him and he thought he could easily rout the Russians with his superior army and heavily expand Sweden

@@apossiblyhereticalalphaleg3595 yeah in all fairness Peter offered to cede all the Baltic territory they took save for their new territory on the Neva and the fortresses but Charles refused assuming he can defeat them like he did to the polish commonwelath which mind you took 5 years to end, only to try and march on moscow after giving up trying to retake st.Petersburg only to be hit with a mini ice age that Europe in winter of 1708-09 and find that Peter has burned down all crop fields and poisoned the wells in his path

a bit, but most of them are old (versailles no bara) or not centered around war aspects (le Chevalier d'Eon). The good aspect is that most of them are full of historical characters of the XVIII Century

@@CJSpencerAMVCreation did you think than there is actual anime where there is a it actually the warfare similar to the one from 1500'to the 1700's? You know, where guns and canons had become a thing, but sword, cavalry and pykes aren't useless (like so many isekai claim, though to be fair, those hacks take with them 21th century weapons) Did you know a manhwa or a manga who have it ? Also, is there manga where the medieval warfare (with the feudal lords, not the viking age, more like 1300-1400) isn't treated as "army full of knights or fully equiped soldiers loyal to the kings" but the feudal levies ? It's would had been good to have anime were warfare isn't so good looking, we could actually had anime who could show well how was Poltava. Still like your amv, and it's still poltava, so i like it on principe (poltava really don't recieve the love it's deserve).

@@fandemusique4693 well, the closest novel is Altina the Sword Princess. The main force there is a cavalry, but rifles and cannons are closing the gap very quickly. The problem is right now it's only novel, but no anime and plan for it.
