I just realized there is something different about watching your turning videos compared to the others I watch. Your tools are clearly much sharper than the others. I realized you just cut through the wood like butter and made super quick work of making a round base to work with. From there it is just a pleasure to watch the creativity you always manage to come up with. This project is perfectly named as it definitely looks like a crankshaft. Well done as always!!

@@tfturning Easiest to balance is multiple of 3s at 120°. Yours here were at 180°. by 2s with one left over. Go for it !

Thanks so much Huw, yeah it's the Axminster pen jaws, they do two sizes and these are the bigger of the two. Using just the opposites, 1 and 3 or 2 and 4, I can't remember exactly which combination. Thanks for watching mate, hope you're well!

This was my second attempt at this particular piece. I foolishly chipped off a bit from one of the sections under the candle cup on the first try. I've made quite a few of this type over the last couple of years, including a super small one. Broken a lot while getting to this point too 😂 Thanks for watching!
