Don’t know how many Stewards there are, say 100 / game @ avge £50/ game x 30 games a season = £150k If I were the Man U Captain I’d get the players in first team to contribute £10k each say 20 players that’s £200k leaves £50k for bonus’s etc & in total that’s about half a weeks wage for top earner - about time someone showed some class at United!

Hi Dunk I worked as a safety steward at Goodison from 2017, and there was a clear attitude from management that you were there to watch the game, and any perks you received you should be grateful for(I had great pleasure in reminding them they were paying my season ticket at A field) The pay, as at, LFC was minimum wage, and consideration for the crowd stewards was minimal, working conditions continued to deteriorate, until I resigned in 2019. The cuts to steward pay and conditions is continuing and trusted employees, are leaving on a regular basis. The organisations being brought in are trained you have to have a minimum of level 2 NVQ in crowd stewarding to work in the role though there is little familiarity with supporters or the stadium Everton struggled every game to staff games, and on a few occasions

TBF it's the ASDA principle every penny counts, the club doesn't just pay the steward, they pay the tax and national insurance, if the steward is in the club pension the club pay 2 times the employees contribution. It's UK law to be offered pension. It disgusting but remember owners are not people, people they are business people. Only money counts.

It's a reality check (or should be) to all those players out there that are battling away to earn an extra £50k PER WEEK, that the money has to come from somewhere, and where Billionaires are concerned, it will come from the ones earning the least and redistributed to the already obscenely wealthy multi-millionaire footballers.
