Oxford and Watford are in the same league system, therefore it would be so easy for the owner to fix games in order to go a certain teams way if they were to play against eachother. Multi club ownership cannot have this problem, as teams in foreign nations do not typically play against eachother unless it is in European football, which is very unlikely

Liverpool (Or FSG) don’t care about you. They don’t care whether or not you succeed, they don’t care about your fans, they do not care about Bordeaux. What they do care about, is using your club to enhance and improve their youth, not your youth, theirs. Liverpool are their priority and therefore you club will essentially be used as a stepping stone for Liverpools youth. Multi club ownership should not be considered for a team as big and historic as Bordeaux. Bordeaux are a massive club, you’re soon to reach ligue 1, and you can build from there. You do not need multi club ownership

The difference is, Troyes or Girona, historically, aren’t very big clubs, but Bordeaux are literally one of the biggest and most historical clubs in France.

I don’t think it should be outright banned, but I do think it should be limited. Theres no way a team like Bordeaux should be used as a stepping stone for Liverpools youth. They’re one of the biggest and most historic clubs in France. I think for one, the number of clubs should be limited to 2 or 3, and the fanbase of the club who are potentially going to be bought, must be consulted first. The division of said club should probably be taken into account also. Why are Premier League clubs, purchasing teams in the top division of France such as Strastbourg, Lyon or Lorient? That will leave leagues, such as Ligue 1 behind the premier league in terms of quality, regardless of what happens, for as long as they are in control of these clubs as they can just poach any decent talent that come from these clubs.

Fundamentally, multi-club groups shouldn't be a bad thing, as theoretically the clubs should be able to arrange friendlies/tournaments in pre-season and loan prospects from one club to the other. It does seem like monopolization yes and in some ways clubs get lost in the system but it shouldn't be that way.

In the situation Bordeaux is currently in fans might think this is great but if FSG manage to bring them back to their former glory when they were playing UCL and earned titles in the 90s and 2000s it will become a problem. Also Troyes which was bought by the City football group proved it doesn't necessarily means promotion and good performances as they went from a bottom ligue 1/Top ligue 2 team to a bottom ligue 2 team.
