Thank you for the informative video! I have only tried Prickly Pears once but will definitively buy them and won't be intimidated anymore!

I saw these at a local market and wondered what they were, now I know. Thanks Chef Bravo for the education. I look forward to tasting this new fruit.

What a score. I see the red everywhere here in North County San Diego. Crazy too see all those colors just around your neighborhood. Enjoy :)

My mom has huge prickly pear cactus growing in her backyard... I'll have to ask her if she's ever eaten them :)

I just discovered these several weeks ago on sale at my local Latino markets. They come de-thorned at the store. I bought the green ones and the red ones (they didn't have orange ones) and now I'm hooked! I had been looking for produce that is high in calcium. It turns out that prickly pears and cactus paddles (nopales) are very high in calcium. I haven't tried nopales yet though. Any tips for preparing those?

How old are your mother plants? What fertilizer do you use? Can you try also the edible pads called Nopales in your next vlog okay?
