What a beautiful old Commer 'knocker' truck. The most distinctive engine noise of anything on the road back in the day.

Hi Luke. Can I just say I’ve been following you for a while and I’m currently training to be a class 1 driver. Just past my theory, hazard perception and CPC. I just want to thank you as your channel is very helpful to new drivers as in driving hours, planning your driving time and breaks/rests loading etc. Top man 👌🏻

4pm can be a limit but i noticed if you just call and tell them you might arrive shortly after they can often be okey with it. And well at least here in Sweden some locations close early on Fridays so cut of might be 1 or 2pm no stress at all :)

My dad drove a commer just like that, i remember us going to a brewery in the north west and it packing up, i believe you had to take up the passenger bench seat to get to the engine, but it must have been about fifty years back.

Sorry Luke, you got it right the first time. The dock approach road is Tilbury. It's pretty much the dividing line between Tilbury and Grays(well, little Thurrock, which is just over to the right of where you were). 12:32 Oi! Cheeky git. Although, I have actually done that myself. Asked a couple of artic. drivers if it was okay to jump the queue as I only had one pallet to come off.

that Commer truck is 1950s 1960s era so there is a good chance that is the sort of stuff your grandad used to drive. my dad used to drive a Commer truck similar to that in the early 70s

What do you think of trucker Tim's new lorry
@bertiethomas9607 ай бұрын
It would be a good idea to have the wee small camera that faces you up in the corner of the screen. A lot of drivers do this and it works very well. It means that viewers can see the road/route you're driving while still be able to see your face. We can hear your voice so it would be more enjoyable to watch the road rather than filcking back and fourth between the scenery and your face....just my opinion as i don't like the constant changing of camera angle...
