Was a bit iffy yesterday, had a Leicestershire -> Uxbridge -> Swindon -> Leics run. I never normally listen to the radio at all but tuned in a few times to see if things were going to be bad on route (luckily, 3.5T, much fewer restrictions). Luckily, not between the M1 and M40 so I got out lightly. My mate (drives for Royal Mail) took 4 hours to get from Gatwick to Heathrow and was... "happy"...

Morning Luke, Yes you were in my part of the world, in this Video, That Junction with the A5 and the Heath & Reach turn ( Eastern Way ) is always a problem especially with the traffic coming from Hockcliffe, it's a horrible turn at the best of times. in the latter part of the video you were at Junction 8 of the M1 and where you got held up those lanes lead towards the M25 at Junction 6A , I'm not surprised no one would let you out but at least you must have made it down to Jct 6 for Watford /A405 that would of course get you back onto the 25 at Jct 19. Well done for not getting to agitated My boss was also held up every single day on the 25 this week , not a happy guy to say the least. Love the Videos , Stay safe.

I wonder if the 2Win lorry was on its way to my old employer in Purfleet. They had some arrangement where the lorry would turn up purely for paper work, and it'd alway turn up around mid-late afternoon. Also, those protestors are nothing but a nuisance and should all be locked up. Thankfully recent changes to the law have allowed police to arrest them on site for causing this kind of disruption. At my previous employer we had several days of complete disruption caused by the protestors, seeing as we were right on top of J31 of the M25. Disruption ranged from staff being 2 hours late for the start of their shift, to delivery and collection lorries either turning up late or not turning up at all by the end of the day. All this does is cause further disruption, congestion and pollution as more vehicles are a) on the road idling for hours, b) more vehicles required to be on the road to make up for missed deliveries and collections, c) staff or companies losing out on money due to said staff not being able to make it in on time and complete a full shift, and all the financial implications that comes from it.

Protesting has a value and a point, yes. But it's like yelling that you hate or dislike something, but don't offer any means of taking action to fix it. Corrective criticism is needed. And if there is to be real change, then these individuals need to not be blocking traffic and such, and actually working with legislators to change things to fix the way things are broken in our world. All the protestors enjoy having electricity, fresh food, clean clothes, objects/products delivered to their local stores, and the vehicles they want to own and drive, correct? Then these lorry drivers are essential to their ability to enjoy their lives and live the lifestyles they want to live. If they're fine with living out of a mud hut, foraging and hunting for their own food, and wearing loin clothes and such, then continue this nonsense. Otherwise, get out of the way and go down to the government office and have a proper discussion with the heads of state. Also, their actions are hurting all other prices. This is creating another artificial supply chain crisis in the UK with them deciding to sit there. Hasn't everyone with the pandemic had enough of that already, including themselves?

Wheels aren’t turning, so do you set it to ‘other work’? Do you switch back and forth between other work and driving when the traffic starts and stops? Thank you!

the day the bloke climbed the QE 2 bridge, i got stuck coming off the A2 on to the m25 at about 7ish in the morning. its was all move slowly then it just stopped after the point of no return on the slip road :( took me 6 hours to get to Thurrock to another depot for the company i work for, went an hour over my duty time and missed the 2nd 45min break, so i had a tacho print out longer then my arm, lucky the boss paid for a hotel for the night so silver linings.

The law, when we had a law, used to say if your on your outward part of your journey you can extend the driving hours due to hold ups caused by unforseen delays. However and, nobody knows why, but this doesn't apply to homeward journey. Its just silly to allow it for one way but not the other. Further, your allowed to extend your driving times if your vehicle has suffered a delay due to unforseen circumstances, like a breakdown, and need to move it to a place of safety.
