man i can only hope transcoding for everyone becomes a thing having the whole crews streams up while we game can be a little wonky sometimes wen i cant lower the resolution this would be game changing. Im excited to try out Av1 but the transcoding bit with only 30Mbps upload I doubt will be a thing for me especially with Multi-streaming as well... I wonder if anyone has been selected for the beta testing yet?

30 sounds like plenty to me at least. AV1 (and HEVC) will allow for you to be able to pull off even 1080p60 for like 5k bitrate. But yeah if you're using multi-rtmp then you're gonna hit a ceiling quick unfortunately. Bigger issue is twitch isn't likely to give too much of a bigger upload ingest which is unfortunate for someone who wants to multi-encode a lot of quality choices.

yeah its sounding like 10Mbps will be the top and you'll have to enable it for them to configure it to get it from what I've seen. @@CoalitionGaming

so for 4k60 you'll likely only get 10Mbps bitrate which is the lower of the suggestions for 4k av1 so we'll see if they increase it, this is beta after all. Hoping I get to start seeing some streams soon with it and/or get selected for beta LOL
