I brought this up to you before, but now that you can legal fly it, I really think you should do it: the Tri Comanche. We’ll take the wings off a Twin Comanche and put them on the fuselage of your Comanche. Those 3 engines would produce a total of 570 horsepower. You could get several knots of speed improvement while burning a lot more fuel. Think about it. Actually, it’s better if you don’t think about it. Just do it.

Although it's silly. I don't see any technical reason why you can't. The PA24 and PA30 is really pretty interchangeable parts.

@@philipmacduffie7612 I know! I really want to see this done, even if it's just an experimental exhibition aircraft that flies to a couple of events every year.

My niece is living with me completely free of charge. She's time building at KADS. I thought about doing my commercial in my plane while I have free flight instruction but I just started paying for another nieces' PPL training. That and still attempting to maybe try to possibly keep working on building my RV maybe. The flight instructor niece LOVES flying twins she says.

I pursued my IFR along with my ME to achieve the MEI. This streamlined the process and allowed me to be mindful of time and finances. Was an efficient and rewarding “approach”. I particularly enjoyed accelerated stalls. One way to go…

I am also a huge fan of accelerated training. I did accelerated instrument in 5 days. I'm currently scheduled for my commercial checkride with my written completed and my accelerated in the airplane training covering 3 days. Probably not for everyone, but it certainly works better for me.

I think you should start a video series about what maintenance owner operators are allowed to do. Find an A&P willing to walk you through it while filming. In the long run you will save a lot of cash and create some great content.

76 year old retired pilot with A&P I.A. license. One thing about Muti training I disagree with is the Identify, shut down etc. Thats fine if you're in Cruise but if in takeoff don't touch anything fly the Plane and land ASAP. So many are killed by pulling the wrong damn engine. Also I have seen a 300 horse Baron blow a cylinder off his left engine leaving a basket ball size hole in the crank case and yet the Pilot got into downwind and safely landed. He didn't touch anything because he still had 5 cylinders making some power. Be careful of that Baron they love to flat spin. You won't believe how many crushed oil filters I pulled off Twin trainer rt engines and how many jellied oil coolers I've had to unplug. Guess why?

Seems like you are on the path to flying professionally. Might I suggest corporate Aviation... Turboprops or Biz jets offer some pretty sweet flying! Airline flying is a whole different ball park... and sometimes not the most enjoyable flying when you feel like you are in the rat race, and dealing with the public and large airports.

Hate to say... That's not a BE55. It's a B55. To my knowledge, the only Baron training in the more powerful BE55 is available at Wing Bird Aviation. There's no scoop on the nacelles.

Both the baron and the C-310 have the best single engine performance But you still lose between 79%and81% of climbing performance under set conditions? You need to know said conditions Control on the ground is called VMCG just like in the air VMCA if you fly smaller trainer twins like the PA44 the performance on warm /hot days are non existent

Odd comment. One, the airport is called "Grand Prairie" Two, the Dallas metroplex is 9,286 square miles. Ask anyone that lives here when you say I am from Dallas, their follow up question is always "Where in Dallas?" Denton, Plano, Arlington, etc. weird.
