Multi-Objective Optimization with Octopus | Tiny House Challenge 02

In this video, we look at the pros and cons of both optimization options available for Grasshopper 3D,
Galapagos and Octopus. Obviously, Octopus has the advantage and capability to do multi-objective optimization but comes with some drawbacks as well.
Galapagos clearly wins the user interface race and the capability to set a specific goal that is not either a minimum or maximum of a possible scenario.

If you want to reach a specific value on a certain goal instead of just minimizing it, I think you can write an expression (abs(value-target)) and minimize this

@@PhilippGalvanDesign you're welcome. Keep in mind you are just minimizing a number, but this number can be the result of anything, so the only limit is your fantasy ;)

It's gonna be hard, well not hard but very slow... Every iteration might take an hour...Even on a good machine. But I will think about it.

@@PhilippGalvanDesign exactly you are right. I did solar radiation optimization using galapagos for my friend actually I left pc on whole the night. But actually im searching for multi objective including solar radiation, view analysis and wind analysis.

Yeah I member I had similar issues. I just kept the trying. It eventually worked. But yes pretty annoying.
