So much fun to watch you show us your treasures. My mom crocheted as well as my grandma. My mother’s cedar chest in preparation for her getting married one day was filled with handmade sheets and pillowcases with cutwork edging trimmed with crochet. My grandmother worked by kerosene lamp. Treasures of simpler times.❤❤

Melanie what a fantastic haul. You hit the jackpot at Goodwill for sure and all your other treasures are wonderful. The butter paddle made my heart go pitter patter. I would have paid $12 in a heartbeat. The quilt, apron and doll are awesome. The big basket does look really old. I love knowing the history of items. Enjoy all your treasures. Hi sweet Jean🙋‍♀️thanks my friend, oh how I love my butter paddle. ❤️ I’ve been wanting one for quite awhile, my mom told me that a long time ago when she was young my aunt had a spring house and it had really good cold running water that came down in the spring house and she would set a butter trough where the cold spring water ran and she would make her own homemade butter and she used a butter paddle. I bet the butter tasted amazing. I love that there was a little note tucked inside the basket. Gives it extra character and charm. Hope you John and baby boy are doing well and enjoying the evening ❤️❤️❤️😘Xx

Oh my goodness what a beautiful quilt. And I am loving the placemats and yes I use placements throughout my home. And let me not even get started with the apron I absolutely love vantage aprons. I really enjoy watching the thrift haul❤ and what a fantastic burlap bag I wood frame it 😊. Yes please keep the note in the basket that is the history of the basket who had who love it before you and now it has a new home and now you can add you own little note when did you got it and how much did you pay for it now you can make you a little history❤

Mom use to put them across the back of the recliners . Dollar tree sometimes use to sell the small ones or dollar general i love doilys

Yep! My grandma did that too! I found really cute pumpkin shaped doilies one year at the dollar general ❤️

Your finds are just wonderful! I love the basket with the little memory in the lid....and a Longaberger for $3! You and I decorate almost the exact same way. I have doilies everywhere. This week end was our little town's city wide sales. I got an antique, state bed quilt for $2. A few of the states the letters have worn away but I believe I can gently repair the embroidery. I also found a hand crocheted small table cloth for $1 at the same sale. It is just so fun!

Hi Angela 🙋‍♀️I was shocked, these items were priced really fair…. I have also noticed our prices going up at Goodwill. There’s two other Goodwills that I go to and their prices are definitely higher. Especially furniture and on occasion it’s damaged. I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening ❤️❤️❤️

Melanie, love love your videos I moved from Rhode Island seven months ago but I’m originally from Açores Portugal and I now live in your neck of woods and absolutely love it here but most homes in the Portuguese communities have a pineapple on the outside or inside of their homes so if you can and like hang it in your front door with or without a wreath any ways hope to see thrifting some time so you know I’m neighbors with the Bristol mountains 😊🕊🌻

Aww 🥰 you are so, so sweet!!! I appreciate the kind gesture sooo much!! My husband has even asked me why I don’t just buy one from eBay or some other place but it’s just not the same. I have only ever seen one when I’ve been thrifting and almost all of the paint was off the handles so that doesn’t classify as green to me😍hopefully eventually I will find my rolling pin and then you guys will really see me excited 🤣😂🤣😂 hugs❤️❤️❤️

Goodwill use to be great on their prices i use to work there in 2000. Anymore some of there things are really ridiculous priced

I totally agree! I use to go there a few times a week, now I’m lucky if I go once a month ☹️
