Ok so I’m a little more than Half way through this drama and the one positive I can say about this FL character is definitely married well in her rebirth. If she hasn’t married this rich guy she would have had to be reborn a dozen times to not die over and over again. She has to be literally saved by him approximately every 3 mins. She’s supposed to be getting revenge, but her decisions are stupid and she’s only trying to survive. In these rebirth dramas, the most successful rebirth is when they are able to take the offensive and counteract before the villains take action. In this film, she’s constantly having to take the defense and get herself saved from all the baddies. Thank God for the ML who is doting and supportive.

And the bodyguards assigned to FL must be the worst ever. They are never in place when something happens. The director must have forgotten about them early on.

Now this is a ML I can get behind. Super loving and supportive of his wife. Yes, it’s got the normal unrealistic parts but overall it’s really good. Shout out to the ML’s mom, in the beginning she seemed like she would be an evil MIL with her attitude. But when her daughter in law was bullied she wasn’t having any of that shit. She commanded the room and made it known to not fuck with her daughter in law. The FL’s mother is an evil woman. I am still confused as to why she hated her daughter so much. Was it just because she had a birth mark?! But I’m glad she brought karma upon herself by killing herself and the SFL. What happened to the dad?? I assume he either went to prison or died. And if the house keeper was the SFL’s biological father than what was her relationship with the dad? Kind of confusing. But happy the brother realized his mistake early on and started supporting the FL. And I liked his friendship with the ML, they worked together to protect FL. Anywho, it’s a good one! Am I the only one who felt like they cut off the bathroom scene too quickly?! They were getting hot and heavy and then bam, we're in the car.

This drama started out strong with a sweet as sugar ML who finally said what we've all been thinking in these dramas: "It's just a birthmark, you're still really pretty." Like, for REAL. It's on her temple and part of her cheekbone and her hair covers it most of time. Ugly monster? It doesn't even change her face. 🙄 I DID like how the FL didn't have to be faking the birthmark or suddenly clear the blemish to be loved and accepted; her husband wanted her just the way she was, from the moment he opened his eyes. And her grandma had always loved her. I DIDN'T appreciate how they tried to keep romantic tension alive by delaying and delaying a sex scene that ends up never happening on screen, you just get lots of nice kisses instead. *sigh*

Think of Chineese culture of medieval times where a woman was considered sullied and imperfect when there was any imperfections on her body. Character did not matter as much as a visage. Noone would want to marry a woman with a scar then. Guessing mentality did not change that much from these times.

In some older religions it was believed that birthmarks were signs of injuries in your previous life. So, bring Karma into that, and people believed those babies were bringing bad Karma into their new lives. It doesn't make logical sense, but this is the basis of that belief.

ML's character is all that is awesome. Says FL is pretty when he saw birthmark on her face, loves FL, protects FL. FL's character is wimpier than a dishrag. For being reborn, she has not gained any intelligence, skills, or insight. She just stands there and lets the evil ppl abuse her. ML has to rescue her repeatedly. ML didn't gain a wife, he received a child that he has to coddle. There is loud annoying music tracks throughout where dialogue can't be heard, just the annoying music

It seems the mom did have an affair with the house keeper/driver person but the husband sold off that child and replaced it with his illegitimate child (SiSi). FL comments to ML at the end, she found the child but didn't want to repeat bringing the child into a rich family like SiSi so she sent the child back to live with that family.
