Thank you Milly, you look beautiful! and my gosh those swatches, super shiny.. thank you. The primer is our Glitter Fix Gel... works great with our chunky glitter, but I have found it isn't as great with pigments. We have a new pigment mixing medium now, I shall send one over to you once our packaging for it is complete. x

I love my loose pigments (I haven’t tried this brand yet) because they are so smoothing and flattering on my lids when I just pat them over a glitter glue/primer with a flat brush. But I haven’t been having much luck mixing them first with different mediums - I end up with that same scaly, textured look that you were seeing on the purple when it dries down. I actually get the same problem with almost all the liquid multichromes/shimmers I’ve tried, except maybe the Ciate Shadow Flip. I don’t mind the extra trouble of using them loose, but I’m still going to keep experimenting, because it would be really nice to have the option to switch up the process sometimes and I think it offers more coverage and intensity.

Same here =) I loooove pigments and for me it is not really more work than pressed special shades. I always do my crease first and then I put a pigment primer on and then I used a pigment or a pressed single. For me these are the same steps ^^ and I do not like to apply pigments wet too, I never liked how it looks. I will get my Proglitz order soon!
@proglitz95662 жыл бұрын
You are exactly spot on! Pigments are pure pigment. Pressed, liquid etc are around 25-50% pigment and the rest are binding agents so they will never be as intense. However you can still get a great coverage if you choose the right brand. I wouldn’t recommend using IPA alcohol alone as someone has mentioned. I use that to clean my makeup brushes 🤣

Been waiting for this video! I think these are gorgeous and really want to try them. Found a kit that comes with pans, pressing tool, spray binder, etc that allows you to press your own shadows, and might try it with these. Love the looks!

Some of those shades look so beautiful and unique but I am not loving the texture, even with Nyx glitter primer. It is almost like particles are mini flakies?
@proglitz95662 жыл бұрын
Hi Richard, thank you. They are very special shades indeed. Milly used our Dazzling Multichromes, they are a bigger particle size yes, but they're not mini flakes. Our Dazzling range is glittery, they are more of a topper or highlighter than a full eyeshadow and are our best sellers. I can send you a mini sample to try if you like? You can email me direct off our website. Nikki

@@proglitz9566 Hello and thank you so much for your response! That makes sense, is there any specific application method recommended for your pigments? I look forward to trying your brand when things become a bit more normal again.

@@richardwright9292 Ohhh that’s so good of you! It’s so very sad about Ukraine. I have a close customer over there who has also done work for me and it is just heartbreaking. We as a brand are donating to them also. In all honestly, I have always pressed pigments on. By using a flat synthetic brush. I don’t think I have ever used my finger, I know this is popular and works great, and as a MUA I have always used my fingers a lot in makeup application for liquid or cream based products. Mainly for highlighting/blush as I’m massive on the whole dewy look. But for a pigment no. It really is all about using the right base- whether that be a concealer, primer or fixing medium and the application method and of course the look you want to achieve. For a topper, sometimes all you need is a small blending brush like you would if you used it as a cheek/collar bone highlighter. But if you want it more intense then I would definitely recommend to press it on. I can’t advise the exact base to pat it on to as everyone works differently and has different skin texture that needs different types of bases. Our new fixing medium is more liquid but not as runny as say mehron. It makes all of our pigments really intense and chrome. As you are applying it wet. A little like when you use the mehron with their metallic powder it creates a metal look - I did a full body shoot once like that on 2 male models 🤣 I hope I have explained a little, or a lot if you see how much I’ve typed 🤣 I shall create a page on our website explaining the different pigment types/uses and application methods. I used to teach makeup in London at uni level- so I’ll be thorough. Nikki
