Have you tried alcohol? Also- have you ever tried an Aussie camp oven- basically a Dutch oven, in spun stainless steel? Lighter and not brittle, like cast iron...
@James-bm3ri2 жыл бұрын
Dave, you should find a way to do pre-orders for this. I would happily order two right away.

Will it run on alcohol? Might be a decent replacement for my old SVEA stove.
@Bob814u2 жыл бұрын
I took a similar model to Iraq with me in 2003. I would fill the bottle with Diesel from our Hummer. After getting the setup corrected it worked like a champ!! Since then the seals started leaking and the replacement o-rings didn't fit. I still have it but IT WAS POPULAR in the desert. "Sergeant Major, your canteen cup goes at the end of the line. I will bring it to you when it is boiled." Ok, after writing this I went out and found my old stove. I pumped it up and lit it expecting the leaks to start. You said you don't need to pressurize it that much as it feeds itself. I used to pump and pump like it was a coleman stove. Tonight it lit, sputtered, relit, sputtered, relit, then it started and went great. No leaks. None. Thanks for explaining a problem I have had for 19 years. LOL!!!! 73! de KE5ES

Most liquid fuel bottles lay down so that when you flip them over the inlet on the pump points up into the empty ‘air’ side of the bottle which allows fuel to burn out of the hose and attachments and also allow air pressure to fall so fuel doesn’t splurt everywhere when you screw the pump off Don’t blow the flame out when in liquid fuel mode, particularly if burning vehicle fuels full of additives, the impurities will clog up the hose and fittings, only use vehicle fuels in a genuine emergency. There is a reason that the only stove MSR make where they guarantee the stove when using vehicle fuel is the MSR XGK, check the small print of these companies stoves relative to vehicle fuel use, a lot of maintenance will be needed and the stove life will be shortened…unless an XGK as the temps it reaches burn off the vehicle fuel impurities. And you won’t burn diesel without first priming the stove with another fuel with a lower vapor temp like alcohol or white gas etc I like that the propane bottle adapter is added in though 👍🏻
@sylphed782 жыл бұрын
A storage tube for the pump body (like a metal test tube that screws onto the pump like the bottle does) and a gasket-ed cap for the fuel connection would be a nice addition.

It looks like my BRS booster multi fuel stove which also runs on the tall slim butane canisters
@MI_Prepper2 жыл бұрын
The stove is TOTALLY BAD ASS! I love how the big liquid fuel tank was made short and fat so it won't tip over!
@cobyporschifer2212 жыл бұрын
What makes this this stove cool is the fact that is runs on "Gas". The same as your vehicle uses. Trying to find Propane canisters in an emergency is not going to happen. Or your out in the wilderness 50 miles away from the closets store at would sell other fuels. Let alone when the SHTF. Great product Dave ! 👍I definitely buying one. Good Vibes 👣
@turtlewolfpack60612 жыл бұрын
It is neat, but many stoves are still available that run on gas or even diesel/kerosene. Interesting that this one seems to be one of the ones that does not require a jet change to run the other fuels.

First impression. It's like the msr whisperlite international but more versatile and cheaper. Isopro gas and also diesel. I like how the legs and pot stands fold out. Seems like a well designed product and a compact pack size. Nice price at wallmart for 96 dollars but already sold out. Anyways for ordering to Europe we pay like 40 dollars shipping and taxes on it. But it's impressive. I like it.

The gasoline/diesel portion works like the alcohol stove I had when living on my sailboat. Had to pump up the pressure, then fill & light the bowl around the jets to get them warm enough to light. Pain in the butt it was for a pot of coffee. Finally ripped it out & replaced with propane burners.

The only stove I've seen that can handle liquid fuel and pressurized gas fuel like that, VERY cool! I think I might replace my goto camping stove! I will say tho, I don't think the liquid fuel is being "drawn" into the heated tube as if it were a siphon or something... I would expect that the fuel bottle MUST be pressurized by pumping, and re-pumping if needed, just like any other liquid fuel stove... I think physics would agree with me. The change from flame to jet is because the feeder tube gets hot enough to vaporize the liquid fuel, in the tube, before it leaves the nozzle, allowing it to then mix with air and burn efficiently, like the propane/butane does.
@Breal1912 жыл бұрын
