Stove looks like a real winner to me. A stove designed to run off multiple fuels right from the get go is a survival multiplier. Running off three fuels is even better. I hope I can get one when these become available

My kids love some chili mac... To feed a couple of extra folks throw in some instant rice and if you want to get "fancy" then chop up some hot dogs and add them in too. Brings back tons of memories of camping at the beach with my kids and nephews. I will have to try the dry milk. Stove looks great.

I always enjoy Dave's videos. It doesn't matter if it's trappin a line or camping in the snow or cooking at camp. Every video has something to take away from it. I really appreciate the content and the time put in to that content. Even a simple product review has a lesson in it. Thanks Dave for all the hard work and honesty you put in to your content.

That's a good price. I bought the MSR version a few years ago and paid over $100 for all the stuff you're selling for $65. If this is at least the quality of my MSR version and you don't have one and you have the available cash it's a great investment. For the pepper that maybe watching any flammable liquid or gas I can burn in mine and this one looks to be similar to the one I have. They are definitely worth it in my opinion. Thanks Dave for coming out with an affordable version. God bless and stay safe.

OK! You hit me in the heart w/this one. As good as your meat loaf. Chili Mac is 1of my all time favorites. I've also seen some 5* cooking from you as well. Flat iron steak w/the broiler rack in your frying pan. Add some steamed asparagus and wallah. That broiler rack is in my cart as I'm making this comment. Hope it fits my SRO Ti pan. Outstanding Dave! I am a devoted fan, and user of your gear ⚙️ as well as your recipes. Will be picking up a multi fuel stove kit @ the end of the month. Can't wait to hit the field with the new gear. P.S. I can't forget the new coffee press either.

Dave that's an awesome stove at a supper deal. I could hear the power of the burn as you were adjusting the flame. Comes with a wind screen that's an awesome necessity which saves fuel and shortens cooking time. In my experience, you try to bring us the best gear for the cost. I've never been disappointed with the items I purchased from SRO. BTW that chili mac looked awesome. May try dehydrating the can of chili to lighten up my pack for a weekend get-away. Thanks for all you do to help us survive and thrive in the bush.

Dave, this seems way better than the MSR Whisperlite multi-fuel stove. All the attachments are preset, and there is no apparent assembly/disassembly required to modify for use with different fuels. This avoids lost parts as they are all permanently attached, yet multi-purposed. Well designed! Kudos to you.

I've been running an almost identical stove for the last 15-20 years, I picked it up when I was in the military because I could run it on Aviation Fuel in the field. It's been great, and very reliable. I see no reason why this wouldn't be as good. Very worthwhile having in your kit. Nice price too. I may very well pick one up.

Great job designing a very useful piece of gear. The additional fittings for multi-fuel is a terrific addition. Looks like it simmers well unlike my old MSR XGK. I have used it mostly to melt snow and ice making hot water for winter camping. Your new stove will be great for cooking and melting snow. It's on my want list.

Great looking stove. The chili Mac looks good too. You can make several different things from canned chili. My favorite is Nacho Cheese Fritos and chili. You can heat the chili with added spice, as desired, and serve over the Fritos (for crunchy texture) or mix in the Fritos while heating the chili. Use the real large can of chili, if more than one is eating, or if you have a big apatite. ;-)

Man, years ago I bought a primus omnifuel or multi fuel or something like that. I remember it had a nozzle for using aviation fuel. I never needed that. I paid at least double what you’re charging for your stove. $65? That’s an incredible value.

wonder if lower proof alcohols would work. probably not ideal but if you try something like 80proof vodka let us jnow how it works. that's what they use at the Japanese restaurants when they do the fire. although I think they let it heat up a bit on the grill b4 they light it
@gregkirchner11082 жыл бұрын
@@chip6515 not 100% positive but I think the alcohol content has to be at least 50% (or 100 proof,) but pressurized in the bottle may make a difference?
@TacticalTinkerer2 жыл бұрын
I'm hoping it will run denatured alcohol...I love my evernew, but I can't use it "legally" in a lot of places. This would solve that problem and still let me use a fuel that I use in bulk quantities as it is...

Dave, glad to see this, looking to replace my old one from eBay. (Two is one)😀 Anyway please do a video using all the fuel choices and in winter. The importance of the preheater for propane and isopro. Oh and just add a zippy for the fuel bottle pressure pump once used and it all fits in a 2 liter dry bag. Extra fuel bottle on the outside of pack in winter for emergency fire making. Oh yeah put that sucker on high and see how long it takes to ake coffee.👍

Nice little stove, I think I'll pick one up during the pre-sale and give it a workout. On a side note, when burning thicker fuels ie; diesel, kerosene. etc. you will need to run the stove at a lower rate to prevent sooting and carbonizing of the jet (but that is ok since there are more BTUs in thicker fuels). To help prevent that, the fuel needs more time in the generator (the little tube over the burner) the burner flame heats the fuel, atomizing or vaporizing it to get a more complete/cleaner burn. To burn those thicker fuels, a pre heat with alcohol or better, a fuel gel at the burner cup will be needed, but that might not work either because of where the valve is. the valve may be too far away from the burner. Will need to try it and find out. Are you going to offer up spare fuel bottles? one for kerosene one alcohol, etc?
@latigomorgan2 жыл бұрын
I just recently purchased a Trangia gas stove. For $75, I basically just got the burner which only works with isobutane. I can buy a propane adapter for another $6-$10. I had to modify it to work with my Firebox stove. This Pathfinder multifuel stove is the cat's meow, right there. Memorial Day pre-sale? I'm thinking I need one. With the fire restrictions in the West right now, you can only use a pressurized stove in the forest. Not even alcohol stoves are permitted. With plans to hike the Continental Divide Trail, you can't always find isobutane in every little store you may have to resupply at. But, I can find alcohol, white gas, gasoline, etc..
