I know that Nastya has a younger brother, who recently became a dad. He served in the army and still is in military reserve. According to the Russian laws, there are absolutely no legal obstacles to prevent him to be sent to Ukraine. I think Nastya was blackmailed and threatened by her brother's life and security. I simply don't believe that she only cares for money. And this very tricky situation also explains well why she could not just leave the country and address the war. I feel really sorry for Nastya and I really hope she will go through this shit 'cause, in my opinion, all she wanted is to save everything from collapsing and stay with her friends and family. People tend to dehumanise celebrities and judge them based on their decisions like "She literally is a millionaire and had a chance to escape", right, she really had a chance, but there are things like family, friends and fear for them. The most heartbreaking thing, in my opinion, is that Nastya was bullied from both sides - the pro-government one who wanted her to be hardly punished and the pro-peace who were mad 'cause of her actions, and the bullying does not seem to be over. Like, I am also pretty upset about her new emploi, however, I hope when the war is over she will share her story and tell everything that is behind the curtains. I think she still has her pro-peace views since she slightly spoke about it in the interview. I hope so.

I doubt that the regime would just murder her for her beliefs. It's not how they usually operate. They don't do it to most dissidents, only those that they're really afraid of. Like Navalny, and even then they tried to make it look like a sudden illness (with the poison) or a "natural" death. My theory is that Ivleeva was threatened with some kind of draconian prison term.

I have many friends in russia, all who have expressed anti-war concerns and still claim to be for "peace", however the moment their relatives or friends got mobilized, they instantly switched their attitude and became "patriotic".

Most people’s beliefs and values are not as deeply rooted as they would like to think.. put under pressure and especially with fear most people revert to primal instincts, like tribalism and aggression. Sad but true
@telebubba55274 ай бұрын
When they talk about 'peace', it has a total different meaning in Russia than you would expect. It's just like 'liberating' others, who have absolutely no wish to be 'liberated' by them. They think that they ARE 'peace' and refuse to understand that other people have no wish for their 'peace' at all, because it's all about subjugation. So that's why they just kill people who reject their 'peace'.
