I’ve been wanting to properly look at a set of Multipick picks for a while... and yes, they do live up to their reputation for quality and detail. Take a look! Multipick kindly let me keep this set :-) shop.multipick.com/en/lock-picking-lock-manipulation/lockpick-sets/multipick-elite-11-pickset

Great review as usual! Might have to invest in some picks from multipick myself. 30years warranty is quite something. I've only ventured as far as sparrows, southord and a couple Peterson's. Changing the subject slightly......i would quite like to send you a sparrows revolver challenge lock and also an Abus 82ti/70 that i just cant pick! I would ofcourse pay all shipping costs (im in Scotland). Would you be interested?

Great review, Ash, awesome picks! I don't have any Multipick, but I probably would buy a set. The handle style and profile reminds me of my Southord MPXSs, that I've been using for the last 10+ years. So, I think I'd adapt to them quicker than other designs. 👍
@LockNoob5 жыл бұрын
Yes, similar style to Southord handles for sure :-)

Have a strong desire to get more Multipick tools if the budget can be expanded. Premium products are great but sometimes outside the average picker price limits. Some day.. Thanks for the reivew.

I have all 4 hooks and they are in my everyday kit. I can’t fault them, they are strong and sturdy, the handles are better than the Southord equivalents although it’s basically the same process. The attention to detail is phenomenal, the etching, logo, crest and serial numbers too, not to mention the year of manufacturing and part number (handy for when you have to reorder hooks as the website makes them all look alike)

Great review 😉 I prefer only and only Multipick 😁 I tried couple of different ones but always get back to Multipick especially de-flores diamond pick 🍻 Intensive used for more than one year and no issue at all, and in all my videos you can see the de-forest diamond as my first choice ☺️
@LockNoob5 жыл бұрын
I love a range of picks from a range of manufacturers :-) that deforest is definitely nice :-)

Everyone should have a part number. As a beginner it was very annoying to replace one of my Petersons because they had no part numbers and pictures on the website were difficult to use for identification. Same happend with Southords and I started engraving part numbers myself on all new picks that I could identify reliably. I've not tried Multipick out yet but it is only a matter of time before I order a large kit to try out. I like the feel of all metal picks like Southord/HPC has but they don't seem to have too many profiles I really like and use.
@LockNoob5 жыл бұрын
Might be worth buying a couple of your favourite profiles to see how you like them before going in too deep. They definitely seem high quality though :-)

If I remember correctly I am sure Bosnianbill reviewed this pick set too. He gave it good review as well so from both of you it must be good. Design looks fantastic with the etching and a good range of picks. Good quality also bumps up the price so no surprise there. So with the Multipick guarantee, are you saying they would replace a pick if it breaks? One more question, what's the difference between the snake rake and the worm rake? Thanks for the top notch review Lock Noob.
@LockNoob5 жыл бұрын
Worm rakes usually have 3 ‘bumps’ of equal hight and snake rakes two ‘bumps’, one larger, one smaller :-)

Was there anything you think they could improve upon (as a starter kit)?? They do look like they have thought about this kit. Thanks for the nice review 😘😘👍
@LockNoob5 жыл бұрын
Nothing specifically as it’s a matter of taste. I’m not a user of small half diamonds, but loads of people like them, so it’s not something to improve on per se... same with the broken key extractor. Useful if you don’t have one but not so much if you do. :-)
@robwebber12175 жыл бұрын
I love the profile of that deforest half diamond pick but the lack of top of the keyway tension tools would put me off buying the whole set if I were a beginner but that's just me. Lovely set of picks though. :-)

They do look very well made. Instead of the broken key extractor though I'd rather have the Bagoda rake. They are pricey & the shipping costs just makes it impossible for me to afford them, but I can wish. LOL!!!!

Only pick I don't like in that set is the Deforest Diamond. The neck behind the head is too thin, even in the .6mm and they bend too easily compared to other Deforest profiles by other manufacturers...
@LockNoob5 жыл бұрын
That’s interesting as another commenter just said that the deforest diamond was there favourite Multipick profile... I guess we all have our preferences :-)
@eak1255 жыл бұрын
@@LockNoob It is my favorite profile too but Multipick's variation is flawed. That neck is too thin and weakens the entire profile rendering it almost useless. At least the .6 mm thickness has a modicum of longevity. The .4 mm variant is a waste of money as it will bend before you even put it into a lock...

Not a bad kit. Nothing is going to tear me away from Sparrows though. :) Only Multipick product I have is the Quick Key Easy Pro. Quite decent, although I did some swapping out of things. For example, substituting Siligum in place of the included binary compound. All said and done, the quality of their products seems to be good.
@eak1255 жыл бұрын
Might I tempt you with the lockpickworld/ukbumpkeys Dangerfield Praxis kit. For the price, it's the best all around kit you can find. It's what a based my entire setup around and it hasn't let me down yet.

@@eak125 Seems a decent kit. Currently I have the Sparrows Monstrum set, Peterson Phoenix Ultimate set, Souber Mul-T-Lock set, Peterson Ghost set, Peterson SFIC set, a handful of custom picks, selected specialist tools (Abloy, Medeco, Mul-T-Lock, etc.) plus a bunch of random other stuff.
