I only clicked on this video to self-check my use of Multi-Pipe. It has launched me into Grasshopper! Brilliant. Thank you!

I have tried all, but Multipipe is missing on grasshopper on Rhino 7 for mac m1

Hi, I'm not seeing this issue here in Rhino 7 on an M1 MBP. Please post to the Rhino user forum (discourse.mcneel.com/) with the results of the SystemInfo command run in Rhino and a screenshot showing the lack of this component in the Surface > SubD section of GH.

Is there a way to save the mesh from a multi pipe, as in not the subd version, but the mesh you work on. thanks. I can see it as a useful tool to make meshes to work more on.
@RhinoGuide2 жыл бұрын
Hi Carl, you can use the Mesh command to create a subdivision level of the SubD multipipe surface using the slider there for SubD meshing parameters or use the ExtractControlPolygon command to extract the base mesh. Alternately, you can use the Export command > Choose a mesh format like Obj and you'll get subdivision options including the control polygon choice in the Mesh section of the export options.

@RhinoGuide thanks for the tutorial. Is there a simple way of setting multiple radii in the sub d command without going through Grasshopper? Thanks.
@RhinoGuide Жыл бұрын
No, that control is only in the GH component currently although the request is filed as mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-62305 . Posting to the user forum can help raise the priority too... discourse.mcneel.com/

i can multipipe on rhino but i cant find the option on grasshoper, how can i fix this?
@RhinoGuide Жыл бұрын
The MultiPipe component is in the Surface section of GH > SubD. If you don't see it, I'd suggest updating your Rhino to the latest version. This will update GH too.

Why can't I select separate lines as 4:10 ? And I have whole detail stands out !
@RhinoGuide10 ай бұрын
If you are referring to sub-object selection of the edges in the SubD, make sure to hold Ctrl+Shift on Windows or Cmd+Shift on Mac. Post to the forum with more details if you still need help. discourse.mcneel.com/

Hi, how did you draw the grid lines? I made grid lines by polylines, but they didn't have the round nodes even I JOIN or GROUP them together.
@RhinoGuide2 жыл бұрын
They were lines overlapping one another. If they are coplanar, MultiPipe usually rounds the intersections but you might have to split the lines where they cross in some cases first.

when i do the command, instead of doing a circle, it pipes a square

Try the Tab key, you might be in box mode display for the SubD. Post a screenshot and model to the forum if that doesn't help... discourse.mcneel.com/
