I’ve had MS for the last 17 years. Regarding the point about constipation and fiber, I’d like to add my experience. I have been chronically constipated for my whole life. Taking fiber only caused discomfort and bloating. I started taking LMNT electrolyte powder, and I accidentally cured my constipation. Plus, I thing the electrolytes have helped my slowness to get my legs moving fluidly in the morning. Hope this helps someone ❤️

Woot woot! 2 videos today!! Probiotics definitely help me be able to "go" everyday!! Your advice a yr ago really helped me . What do you recommend to help able to eat more? I'm on vyvanse and it makes me not hungry. That and ms has changed the way food taste. I don't eat fast food sodas etc but I need to eat a lot more. I'm on verge of being malnourished again Thanks again Dr B!!

Hi Dr. Boster, I am ramping up my Dihydrogen Monooxide game lol. up to 72 oz per day. I can't seem to get my VIT D levels out of the 40s, even with about 5000IU/day, I am glad summer is coming and I will add the greens for my source also, trying to eat healthier. Trying to eat less sugar, am doing really good stopping fast food. Thanks for the video.

Thank you. Re the 1st part of this video: Would be even better if this was said with something like “for those of you”, rather than in a way that implies that ALL the listeners don’t already eat well, and that it would be a challenge to do so. Sure, since many have MS, prob many people have not been eating well, in the suggested ways. But there are people diagnosed with MS who had been eating beautifully for decades before MS diag and are watching the video for fine-tuning advice.

Hi Dr.B I would love for you to do a video on remyelination therapies in the future. I want to know will they help us who already have MS? Are these remyelination therapies able to help us with old lesions? I’m having a hard time dealing with this disease and I want to know whether or not I should be holding out hope for these treatments or if they will only benefit those diagnosed in future when these treatments are available. Thank you for doing all you do for our community!

Vitamin D is so important. Prior to being diagnosed I always had levels in the low 30s. Right after being diagnosed in May 2021 I started taking 5000 IU daily and as of last month my level was 72. I was shocked how much it went up in less than a year. I was very happy.

I take vitamin D and multivitamin. My concern is really pure quality brands. I hand a bunch of skin reactions to so called top vitamin brands. I can handle NOW vitamins. There was testing done years ago on top vitamin brands and they were disappointing. Not sure the ingredients are legally monitored by anyone? The food, water, and strength training are important

We will never really know unless you study them yourself. I often switch brands for that reason but stick to nongmo limited extra ingredient ones. Pure encapsulations and standard process brands I trust.

Hello Dr. Boster. I had a question about taking supplements such as ginseng (to help with fatigue) and lion's mane mushroom powder (which I understand helps with cognition, nerve repair, and for gut health). Are these okay to take, given that I am already on dmt (tysabri)? I also take the following vitamins and wanted to get your feedback on this: -Vitamin A (since my last relapse involved optic neuritis I take this one) -Vitamin D -Gingko biloba (for brain function) -B12 -Fish oil -Prenatal (not because I am pregnant, but because I understand it has more nutrients than the regular multivitamin) This is something I add, along with trying to incorporate healthier foods (drinking green smoothies daily) and limited processed foods. I also exercise 3x a week. I try to also drink as much water, although there are days where I do slack a bit. Thank you for sharing these informational and encouraging videos.

Hi Cathy, the supplements you are taking are very commonly seen and taken by many of us with MS. The lions Mane is still being researched tho as there are not enough large scale studies in its relationship to MS benefit- but as I see you already are on board with it- as are other MS’rs. You are active, mindful, and that makes for a good patient and hopefully easier MS journey. Rock on 🤘🏻 💪🏻❤️
