honestly tho, I was a young boy, listening to a couple of songs off of Ems recovery album and some snippets of mmlp2 with cod ghosts and he fell off my radar. then news of his Revival album coming out resparked my listening to Em but had a better mind to listen. so Revival was the first album I fully listened too and I loved Em from it

Even with the lyric about Paul/Dre telling him what no to say, he said in an interview with Sway I believe there was some stuff he took off the track because it was too much. If you didn't notice, his eyes were black when standing up after jumping out the window as he was reunited with "shady". Would definitely recommend "Not Alike". Not to go too far with it, but along with all those people he’s inspired, he also brought hip hop to a whole new race, if you will. He’s brought hip hop out of just “black music”. Even farther, you have people’s parents telling their kids that Em is the best ever. That goes beyond even what Eminem brought up, but still true and proves the case that he belongs “in the house of hip hop”. He didn’t just inspire those artists, but brought hip hop to a whole “section” of population that wasn’t getting reached. Then you have all these other people getting listens because he has done that. Crazy to think about how truly wide-spread his impact has been through his career.
