I know you are WAY younger and have had no exposure to OLD technology as I have, but those stickers you said looked like buttons with letters are actually the way early typewriter keys looked. They provide a vintage look to those who remember typewriters. And your card is lovely!
@NatashaFooteCreative8 күн бұрын
Yes, I know the typewriters you are referring to! I often go back and cringe at the things I say in videos and think I didn't convey things right, and it wasn't what I meant, or I've said the wrong word etc. you are entirely right, I think the typewriter keys were 100% the description I was actually looking for 😂. I still can't listen to my own voice 1000 videos + later!!

Just noticed that you could use the "YOU" die to make the word "JOY". Just cut part of the U off to make it into a J and then you have the O and Y. Great for a Christmas card, multi use of an item. Just up your alley Natasha. 😀

I literally just stick my napkins on with double-sided adhesive, and I don't throw out the white layer; it makes a great texture for card bases.

I adore these cards. So maybe, sometime soon, you can give us a reminder or new ideas on how to use the unprinted backing to the napkins ? ♥️
@Mari-cre8s9 ай бұрын
Both cards are beautiful in their own way. Great reminder to watch for cool napkins and make them into cards! I use the glue stick technique, but before I think it’s totally dry I run the panel through an embossing folder that compliments the design. It adds another whole dimension to the final card! Congrats on your terrific website btw!! 🧑🏼🎨😀🌷

I like the continuation with the bird one, but I also love the vintage style purple one too. As for techniques…so far Ive only tried with the matte medium. I dont think we have glue sticks in the house at all 🤔 lol. Only big kids here now that are passed the point of using glue sticks regularly.

Absolutely beautiful cards! Just love the bird print napkin. Not sure if you have it there, but in the states we have Mod Podge. It does the same thing as the medium. I occasionally will make just the card bases ahead of time. I put on the mod podge, let it dry. Then store my bases. When I want to make a napkin card, I grab a base & lightly iron on my napkin. (Have a thin cloth in between).

My go to method for putting napkins is the cling wrap, I've always got the best results with it. I also run it through an embossing folder some times too depending on the card I'm making. I also like adding fabric to cardstock too 🙂💙

The last lavender has my vote for favorite. I think I might want to add silver to the top layer of the YOU as a nice touch. Maybe a matte silver paper instead of mirror finish card stock. But both cards are lovely and I am surprised how well the napkin subtle designs and thin thin tissue thin comes through after glued down to card stock. Lovely and great video to watch.
