This RC glider is just awesome :)
All stock (PNF version), 3s 2200 mAh 20C Turnigy LiPO and FrSky Taranis radio. Mobius camera onboard and GoPro HERO3 Silver Edition on my head.

Hello Andrej. Thks for this video. Did you try to configure flaperons on AILerons in order to reduce speed in landing phase ? And tell me : when you take off, do you apply 100% of throttle ? And after during the flight, which power do you apply for re-climb ? Would you say that the model is stable and safe or can it stall at low speed like the Heron for example which requires a lot of attention? Mny thks

Nice video. What camera did you use on model? can you post some pictures of that mount for camera on glider? An did the weight of camera affected flying characterisstics ?

Thanks. The camera - Mobius was mounted like this: plus.google.com/u/0/photos/photo/115913629438067801031/6414386358681227794?icm=false&authkey=CLP_8Nzv5PPANA I had to balance the plane properly and the plane flew nice with this setup, the aerodynamics was affected a little of course but not as much as on my Lanyu ASW 28 with the same camera mount. As you can see in the video, the Solius was still quite agile with all this on it.

Very good video; I know, after all that effort you get the "you should have" Maybe next time it does not show the carbon rod, and possibly add a figure or just tint black the canopy. It would help on the experience of the airplane flying.

Thank you! I agree. Next time the video will be better for sure: no CF rod in view, 2 onboard cameras and a Canon 80D on my helmet :)

Thank you. I think it could be your first plane. A cheaper option would be a plane from the Volantex line of RC gliders but the Solius is a better plane (better design & flying characteristics).

@@AndrejSturm Thanks a lot for the advice. I actually looked at Volantex before. But found an attractive deal of barely used Solius for $200 assembled RTF, with 2 batteries, radio etc. A little scared to crash it😅. But I think stabilizer should help.

Hi Eagle, You are right, it depends on the mood :) Of course the highest quality - Solius, except for the motor, which has no bearings and gets pretty hot! The Solius glides very well and I like how I can easily disassemble the plane and store it in original box. The Solius is also the most agile/aerobatic plane of all the planes that you've mention. ASW28 is a very nice looking plane for the price but it does not glide as good as all the other planes. Phoenix is a good glider for the price, a very good plane for beginners but nothing special otherwise.
