this class is important as general education to get at least a bachelor degree. I tell you, I had to do this Math to get my master. I am close to my retirement age, and I never needed to use exact probabilities. Only I have said looking at the sky... So I drew my last name DIXON in order on Scrabble today. I was honestly a hit stunned. How would you calculate the odds of pulling that again in order. If so, I was under the impression the multiplication rule for successive events was P(A and B) = P(A) x P(B|A). But I must say I have a hard time differentiating between the Multiplication Rule for Successive Events and the Conditional Probability Rule P(A|B) = P(A and B)/P(B). What really is the difference between the latter two?
