I just tried the OptiGrill for the first time and watched it turn different colors so I knew what temperature my steak was at. The first time I saw the colors I was like, it kind of looked gimmicky to me but you know, I think it really does help you to understand how the grill works. You take all the guesswork out; you don't have to worry about opening up the grill and checking to see what it looks like, cutting into it to see if the steak is done. It does all that work for you. You can satisfy everybody instead of having to spend all your time in the kitchen guessing whose steak is going to be done when.
If you're like me and you have a lot of other things to prepare while your guests are waiting for their meal, you can actually fix something else or you can enjoy a glass of wine while you're waiting for your steaks to finish. You just simply wait for the beep. The beep is really something that I will rely on heavily, I think, when I use my OptiGrill. I could not believe how beautiful that steak looked and I cut into it and it was just tender and juicy as could be. I would use this every day for all my meats. It tastes as moist as it looks and really there's nothing you have to add to it at all. I would definitely put this on my table.
