(08/23/22) The increase to damage taken from the Glass Cannon trait has been reduced from 14% to 5% (08/15/22) Arya got patched and it fixed her neutral special and the override function for her ground neutral attack. They also removed the additional/Cooldown text for her down special move. However, the patch also messed some things up with her advanced combos. Hoping they do more to fix her and make her more viable in the future. @@Shelikesfutarule34 It's crazy how easy it is to go up and down on the leaderboards. Also, I've found that I usually way out-level people with Arya when I matchmake. I think this is because it takes way more time to become proficient and able to compete with Arya. While my enemies spam flying shaggy kicks, Finn up specials, and Jake stretchy punches, I am here trying to execute 5x-10x true combos just to deal 20-40 damage lol.

One thing I never see anyone talk about is wavedashing. Dash jump, fastfall for a small amount of time then jump again. This will allow you to cross the length of any map while still having a dodge available. Usefull on everyone but especially arya because she can easily run out of dodge meter using dlight. It's easy to do and I see almost noone doing it around my mmr, and when I do, I know it's gonna be a rough fight.

I use a combo that works most of the time, if done correctly. You steal an enemy's face and attach the blade on them, then tp to them and while they are hit you press the neutral special and stun them, then hit from there.

Arya's face-steal is bugged. You have to do two neutral attacks back to back in quick succession in order for the opponent's neutral to trigger. In order to avoid employing your OWN neutral attack first, and rather use the enemies first, you must dodge and THEN neutral attack. Air neutral works as intended though.

Good guide, You can also dodge cancel immediately after the roll of the down normal attack to start a side attack combo on the ground.

Amazing tip video , let me atleast add that if you want neutral ground override to ve consistent then use it in a chain of ground attacks , so for instance use side ground then neutral ground for it to confirm. Aswell as you can extend the distance of her down ground attack by dodge rolling beforehand and then combo it into down ground ( preferably with right stick as it is much smoother ). And for ease with face steal in say 1v1s you can combo it into attacks to make it more consistent and less risky to pull off. So again side ground into neutral special and you can hit it almost everytime unless enemy is dodge spamming

My favorite combo to pull off is Side Light into Face steal into side light dash towards them stun attach knife, up special fast fall, TP to knife, up special up special up air.. It’s not a true combo, but it’s a guaranteed kill if you can hit it.

What do you think about having attack as the right bumper or R1 and neutral attack as square. That way when jumping to attack your thumb does need to move when doing regular directional attacks. Edit: i was thinking it would be useful to have this for when your opponent is off the side of the map and your dagger is attached to them. That way you can teleport to them and follow up very quickly / immediately with a down air attack

Yes I think you are right! It says it just causes attacks to break armor, but from my testing it also seems like the sharpen effect also increases damage dealt. I could be wrong thuough!

it's a bug, the best workaround atm is to use a dodge and then follow it immediately with the neutral attack.

It’s neutral attack while you have charges of the enemy’s face. You can do it in the air or on the ground. If you do it on the ground you need to dodge first and immediately use the neutral attack after in order for it to work, I’m pretty sure this is caused by a bug.

Everytime I use the face stealer and try to use the enemies moves It just uses the stun and after scrolling everywhere there has been no answer. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? I play on an Xbox controller btw.

The stun is neutral special (Y). You need to use neutral attack (X) for you to use the attach from other fighters. It’s a separate input from the face stealer move

you only get their air and ground neutral attacks, you don't get to turn into the fighters you stole faces from in any persistent way.
