Against all the iconic black characters in WB IP... Who tf asked for Nubia? I'm telling you right now Nubia is only a full character because they realized having one of the only black female (no Garnet, a fuckin alien rock with purple skin, doesn't count) playable in game just existing as a skin you'd almost certainly have to buy, for a white character, wasn't a good look. "Want Diversity? Either buy Black Adam's The Rock skin and WW's Nubia skin or stfu." We could have gotten Static Shock, Craig of the Creek, NUMBAH 5, John Stewart (The green lantern not the Daily Show host), AEW wrestlers Swerve Strickland, and/or Mercedes Mone, Huey Freeman, or any number of iconic black characters from WB properties. Instead we get LeBron James and blackface cosplay skins or clone characters. They had to patch Velma having LeBron James arrested out of the game because they didn't see the issue. From what i understand, this game is supposed to be a stomping ground for WB's most well known, legendary, greatest icons... and instead we got Nubia. You 3 or so very loud people ask why literally everyone else is mad? Multiversus is supposed to be a game of legends, there arent supposed to be any "wtf picks". The Banana Guard worked because he is a joke character, and still a VERY recognizable character. Nubia is literally a nobody. We couldve had anyone instead of her, and we got her. Not to mention that this game has definitely fallen off in terms of popularity, people also hate this because they know that this will not pull in a casual audience at all... because nobody cares about her. This is a TERRIBLE roster choice that clearly was just for a DEI quota, plain and simple. If they wanted another black character, they couldve added Cyborg, Jax Briggs, or Morpheus to name a few which are all legendary and recognizable characters... this is a terrible pick for far too many reasons.

I'm starting to ignore the complaining and child-like behavior of the so called "fans". It was the same with Smash Bros. Characters gets announced, and since it wasn't the one specific character that everyone's demanding, they'd raise a huge stink about it. There's characters I really wanted to get it that didn't make it, and that's fine. Right now my wanted list is: Popeye (he's owned by WB now) Data or Chunk (Goonies) Gmork (Neverending Story) If you read Reindog's backstory, his world was destroyed by The Nothing. Tom (Toonami) And to those who say we already have a Tom, Smash got two Roys. Almost anyone from the Hanna Barbara world that isn't Scooby Doo. Space Ghost maybe? Dick Dastardly? Thundercats, Silverhawks and Tigersharks are all owned by WB now. Lion-O maybe? Who currently owns the rights to the National Lampoon movies? They were distributed by WB. I thought it would be fun to have a stage that takes place in front of the Griswald house from Christmas Vacation.

I know sometimes fighting games can't just have the popular picks, but when it comes to Nubia, I have to disagree. With the DC lineup, there are literally THOUSANDS of characters they could pick from, so it is very easy for DC to become this game's Fire Emblem. With that in mind, I don't think you can waste a lesser pick on a DC character when there are many, many, many more characters from that franchise that people would rather have in their place.

Yeah, even just representing the rotating roster of "main" Justice League members that's like 10 characters, and then there's villains, other teams like the Titans, standalone heroes, etc. I like Nubia, but when over 20% of the roster is DC comics characters already and we don't even have the Flash, it feels a bit excessive.
