For an Alpha build, this is crazy. I love the dialogue and animations, there's clearly a lot of attention to detail going on. The fighting itself seems a bit too loose, though. Not enough feedback on hits and a lot of the combat looks like everyone getting lost or plainly whiffing attacks. Not to mention, that "Perks" screen is a huge red flag for me. Either pay to win or uneven abilities seems like it'd mess up balance... Or just frustrate new players. I won't let these things spoil my view on the game, as it's still only in alpha, but I hope they're addressed before release.

Super Smash Bros has done an amazing thing by opening up this new genre of fighters and its great to see developers running with the formula and finding new and unique ways to improve on it and adding their own universe of characters. I for one cannot wait for this release being an old school fan of Smash Bros, and now being able to play with some of my favorite childhood cartoon heroes and characters.

that all stars was such a fkng scam so glad I got my 50 dollara back before it was too late.

Not only the voice acting, but the gameplay, visuals and the charm was missing. This game has memorable character interaction, the developers really knew how to handle the source materials. If they don't mess up the game with overdoing monetization (obviously, it'll have microtransactions), it'll have a bright future. So far, loving the game, can't wait for the open beta!

Unpopular opinion, I think the movement looks to floaty and slow. It also feels like the punches aren't hitting due to a lacking of SFX playing when characters are getting hit. On top of that, the music needs to be more lively, get people in the mood for a fast beat em up brawl.

I love the idea of this game a lot, just that the gameplay feels kinda tame. Everyone feels really underpowered and there is no so called "oomph" behind their attacks. Edit: Some people think I'm comparing this with mortal kombat, no I am not. I am comparing this to Smash Bros, the game this is clearly inspired by. When a character is at 100+ I expect them to be flying around, barely staying in bounds. The gameplay so far shows that it's almost impossible to defeat someone with the sides of the stage.

There's so much information following each character. That should all be in the main UI under their pictures imo. Makes it hard to focus on the fighting. Also not a huge fan of the color schemes for teams, it takes away from the uniqueness of each character's design. And the stage looks a little small for the amount of movement happening. But other than that, I'm open to seeing more gameplay.
