Finn is totally diff now. I am struggling to actually kill. Good players know the forward special or backpack is coming, so i end up having to juggle my ass off with other moves lol

Yea finn is much harder now against goob player or other more broken character it's tough but if u ever see LeBron just know u can turn his basket balls into yours with high five or bmo it's more consistent with bmo

Awe gem is gone? A swordie with an item projectile was an archetype I never really saw before and the combo potential with it was really fun. A shame

Actually why though? There's so many other things to work on to improve the game and this rework made his character/archetype less creative If it was too strong then tune it, make it have no hit box and a delay before/after teleport to make it less offensive and more vulnerable. But to remove completely for what's there now is so odd to me. Still working through the characters RN and a lot of people are similar but I definitely like the pacing before more, I hope they take feedback somewhere

It's really bad rn. It's probably one of his bigger weaknesses. You can always go for charged forward strong or backpack. Dash attack is ight too

Well this game seems to be focused on 2v2s so I think fin might be better in 2v2s. He was to overpowered in beta

His air up special should send more up in my opinion and his grounded should send more out to me that way it can kill off the top more consistent and the grounded can be followed up with an edge guard to kill right now it feels like bt the time your out of lag they are almost back to stage

Multiversus is heavily designed with 2V2 in mind which means for balancing purposes some characters will be better at taking stocks over others. I’m okay with this concept since it encourages and adds a depth and variety to team synergy and compositions. Finn was one of the lucky characters to be terribly broken during the beta.

Finn main here, you can do your aerial nair on the ground by dodging diagonally towards your oppenent when you’re grounded and hitting neutral, it works great for starting aerials from the ground

I liked that the side -> side -> down combo is still up, the two problems is that they don't work in the corner anymore, Finn needs to chase the opponent little knockback in the first hit of the movement, no more "magnet" first hit, and the second is that you need to press the diagonal forward + down to the down hit works. It isn't a combo to kill in the corner anymore but helps when i don't want to get in midair to combo when the nair is in cooldown

Say, its my first time playing multiversus and chose Finn as my main, had a blast playing him lol I didn't even know that finn got nerfed. First few minutes i already got a hang of it because i played a rip off game that kinda works like multiversus's movement

Hey, did anyone find a way to use Finn's new down special in the air ? I feel like it cannot combo, it's not the best way to edgeguard and it cannot kill even tho it needs coins. It's not a good recovery either

Here is something I noticed while labbing: sair into side special isnt true until I would say 55 to 60 percent sair into backpack starts being true earlier also down special isnt true out of anything as far as I can see, it has to be a dodge read

Finn has close to no kill potential. I like Finn but I keep getting my opponents to ridiculously high percentages and still not getting the kill. Only way I get kills is to combo them all the way to the border

Yeah, not having Gem sucks because it makes countering Taz or Batman's projectiles impossible now unless you wait it out. Feels like you can't really approach like you used to. :/. Maybe parrying solves at least the projectile troubles, but I haven't dug too deep into them yet :P

DI makes connecting the nair after uptilt way too inconsistent for my tastes personally, it's nice when you're in the position and know you can hit it but i feel like often finn is in an awkward spot after u-tilt uncharged and has to make a dodge read

While it's a lot different, we should try to adapt and give this a shot. If there is a lot of outcry maybe they'll change it back one day. Definitely lots of patches in the near future, but for now just have fun.
