Here are a few tips I have found: Don’t rematch when there is an ungodly amount of lag(do this to retain sanity). Against Iron Giant, he has a massive hit bot, use that to apply pressure and bully him. If an Arya Stark suddenly transforms into another character, be careful going near her, it is a aoe stun that lasts a bit longer than the visuals would lead you to believe. Don’t get greedy when combo’ing a Reindog, if he has a crystal above him it will likely hit you out of the combo if you linger. If you are a Reindog player, in a 1v1 always have your leash out, there are no teammates to save so it is just free damage. Lastly as a general curtesy, if someone toasts you, toast them back(unless they were toxic, then take the money and run)

Reindog crystal kinda sucks 1v1 though, has huge startup and endlag and if you hit it once it deactivates. Best tip against Reindog is to try to approach him at an up-diagonal angle; he has a lot of trouble covering approaches from that angle. Once you get into close quarters don't stand right above him as his up-normal is really good, and you should be able to beat him a majority of the time in the scramble situation.

@@meethepie I find his crystal is good with the Crystal Pal perk once you see an opening to get it up, as it helps keep you safe from people who are playing aggressively. Additionally, you can bait them into knocking the crystal and hit them with an up normal into aerial up normal combo.

My tip for a lot of people is: DON'T GET STUCK IN THE LAB! People spend hours and hours just practicing and as good and well as that is, if you wanna get better, play more matches.

My tip: The goal is to knock the other person off the stage, not to do damage, doing damage is a means of making it easier to get knockouts, your goal should be learning how to confirm kills, not the craziest combo you can find.

Learn how to dodge and spot dodge effectively both aggressively and defensively on the floor and in the air. There are way more ways to approach the enemy than jumping in and/ running up to them with a attack

Not sure if this one was on there but for the new player who wants to get competitive with some of these vet smash players learn your kill confirms and learn when you can use them as this will make your life much much easier facing you ff against the majority of the smash vet riff raff. Any tips on getting first hits in combat, it seems the other players attacks hit before my causing mine to not register. Am I attacking too early or too late? Are you suppose to attack right before they get to you or once they are already close enough? Appreciate any help guys!!

It depends on the attack! Certain moves are faster or slower than others, of course, but also moves have a hidden "priority" value. You might be playing a character with slow attacks, less reach, or using attacks with lower priority. Try experimenting with different moves and distances as well.

Not gonna lie, I've kind of rage quitted a few mins ago. There are a few gripes i have with this game that ticks me off, like I swing first but their neutral move beats mines and some attacks just go right through them. I never played any of the smash games, and Tekken was like the game I had played previously so I will likely not get used to seeing this kind of hitbox and hurtbox behavior. When I play this game its either I'm out skilled by someone who are used to this type of games or someone want to cheese to win.

Does anybody have any tips for killing with Arya in 2's? I understand her up Air is really good and in 1's I can usually pillar combo upwards for a clean ringout, but in 2's i struggle to enter as easily so I find myself using my tp knife to get in and by the time i have it back for a ladder combo for a kill they're back with their teamate... I know this might not be the video to ask under but the tip to find your characters kill move got me thinking about it again.

It's not 100% but for me whenever I hit a blade I'll tp in and steal a face or stun immediately. Attack if i can and turn attack if its rough. Go back in with spinny side special thing. One of those 3 usually throws the other team out of their rhythm. I've won matches just stunning and tilting ppl running around so they leave my teammate free
