As a Christian, you must forgive. However, once you forgive you are not obligated to let those that wronged you back in your life.

I absolutely think that he probably should have given her a chance, but with conditions starting out. He was right to put his family 1st. Lydia should have thought about things a lot earlier than she did.

Lydia wasn't truly a mother to him... She didn't even look for him when they took him.

When I read stories like this it breaks my heart...I will always say this if his mom was not there for him then...why would she be there for him now..Being a mom means loving and supporting your child and she could not fulfills these things..The worst betrayal is to betray your child and they never forget... In the end he can forgive but to say let me bring my mom around his family he can't because he does not want his family to get hurt..and protecting his family is the first thing he choose to do..How do you make a betrayal right the trust is gone and that word trust is the most important thing..He can forgive but he can't forget how he his mom treated him as a child..🌍👍🌍💯🌍😘🌍🍀🌍🙏🌍

You are absolutely right, he can forgive but be cautious around her.. no need of bringing her close to her family

A parent have to forgive themselves first, before anyone else can forgive them. Things will take time and you will have to take baby steps in order to build forgiveness and trust

Anyone can change, but it’s best to do it for themselves. Emma did the right thing. He had no space for lydia in his life now. He has a loving ,caring and tight knit family and he will not trade that for anything. If it wasn’t Mr P ,Emma would have starved to death. Even after Mr P had him under his roof what prevented lydia from visiting Emma? She turned up now that he is alive, educated, doing well for himself and has a family. There is no room for Lydia, that ship has sailed a long time ago. Irresponsible ,heartless and worthless woman. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

Wow some human beings have the nerves...well forgiveness is a must for individuals' peace of mind, however, after that in this case, this being of a mother called her son for herself - has nothing to do with the son she's wronged. She's selfish and evil I'm tempted to disregard what her reasons were...period!

As a law of Almighty Nature doesn't forget and does not forgive. What if her son was dead, would she come and ask for forgiveness? 🤔🤔🤔 The state or fact of having a duty to deal with
